Shorter cylinder size for pumping

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes shorter pump cylinders, like 6”? I am at 4.2” in length and 5.14” circumference, so I think a 1.75” width cylinder is best but I cannot find anything shorter than 9”. Not only does that make it uncomfortable to wear, but it also doesn’t help with self-confidence. Wearing a cylinder more than twice my size.

on Amazon the MR.B cylinder is 1.75” but the length is 9”, all the lngues are around this size.

I had the same problem when I was starting. I cut several inches off the tube, sanded the cut edge smooth, and radiused it with Shapelock plastic. You can get it in craft stores on eBay. It’s a like hard white nylon at room temperature, but at the temperature of hot coffee it is soft and moldable. It will stick to the tube when applied. There are other brands of the same basic plastic, and videos on Youtube of things you can do with it. If you mess up or want to change things, just dip the end of the tube in hot water for a few minutes and the plastic will soften again.

Each time I reshaped the mouth of the tube for more comfort, Mrs. Andy wanted to play with the soft plastic. I finally had to warm up a batch for her first so I could work in peace.

Thanks Andy. I ended up getting a 1.75” tube from ebay and using it with a dr kaplan pump and gauge. It works *a lot* better. But it is 9” long so it is a bit akeard to wear, especially while sitted at my desk (working from home).

I really wish there was a manufacturer who sold shorter cylinders.

Right, I think they’re priced appropriately. Having used other brands, some cheaper and some more expensive, I think they are the way to go.

Their vel-seal is really comfortable too, by far the best sleeve I’ve ever used. You won’t be disappointed.

Their custom lengths can take some time to ship out though, they make those to the order. Be prepared for that.

Ended up ordering a shorter 7” long cylinder from pumptoys along with their beginner kit (pump, hose, lubricating cream). It took almost a month to ship, but the wait was worth it. It’s really high quality stuff!!

I don’t know what they put in that cream, but it feels awesome. It makes entry easier than regular lub, and it stays on like a moisturizer. I noticed it makes it possible to do jelquing without getting hard, which was always an issue and why I didn’t get into jelquing.

I’ve got a microphone on a boom arm and used a couple of velcro cable straps to make a loop on it that half of the handles on my vaccum pump slides into. I can have as much(or as little) angle on my cylinder at my computer desk with the tension in the boom arm. I’m not sure it is for other people to have microphones and boom arms, but in today’s Zoom culture, it can very useful for a variety of things.

Edit: I said boom pole instead of boom arm. The boom arm has springs in it that holds it in place. So long as your just sitting at your computer, you can have a SUUUUUPER long cylinder sit wherever you want it so it no longer is an issue. Might be cheaper in the long term than always having to order custom cylinders.

PumpToys also allows for 2 stage, which I thoroughly enjoy. The glans is allowed to expand in a larger chamber than the shaft. No more pinch on the head.

The two-stage sounds cool but it sounds like you have to have very exact measurements for it to fit properly.

Boom mic? Wait, are you saying you hook up a mic to your pump while wearing it?? 🤔
