Staging Rules

Sometime ago Avocet recommended this technique (going from a smaller tube to a larger one during a session) to me, especially for girth, which is a major concern of mine.

I’ve been pumping for 9 months.

I have two tubes, one homemade 2” in diameter the other 2.5”, not precisely the ideal size to progress from the small to the larger, 2.25” would be much better. Last night, I was experimenting, pumping after jelqing for 1 hour (I felt like doing a marathon session). I did four 20 min sets at 5” hg. Here I should point out that I usually do 2 to 4 10-15 minutes sets at 5”hg. After I finished the last set, it was very difficult to take my dick out of the 2” tube. My dick came out in perfect shape, very modest fluid build up, and as hard as 2” water pipe surrounded with a thin layer of skin.

I did my session before bed time, anticipating some wild sex with the wife. Sex didn’t happen, I’ll just say that kids are the worst enemy of a healthy sex life.

Well, this morning my wife went for breakfast and I said I preferred to stay in bed. As soon as she left, I pulled out the 2” tube for a little touch up. when I was 10 minutes into my set, the idea came to mind: I would stage to the 2.5”, since my dick looked really thick, it measured 6” before I went into the tube. I did it after some rest and massaging. No problems with balls sucked into the tube or anything else, it was loose, but worked fine. After exactly 15 minutes, I pulled my dick out. I had never seen it like this: Thick with an iron hard erection, looking very healthy. No donut. Very little fluid. Girth=6.5”.

When the wife came back and saw it, her eyes bulged in disbelief (and excitement and anticipation) and her jaw dropped. After about 20 minutes of foreplay (in which I insisted) she asked me to fuck her. The results were amazing, I could tell she was having quite an experience (and so was I). Her eyes rolled back, she pushed with her hands against the wall in an intent to get it more inside. IT WAS GREAT.

After I ejaculated, the erection was rock hard. Along the few hours that have passed by, I’ve had several very healthy erections.

It’s important to mention that I usually do proper warm up and maintain heat with a heating pad. Also, I use theraband wrapping to prevent donut formation, it seems to work better than condoms in my case. I continuously kegel when in the tube.

My setup includes a high quality automotive vacuum meter.

I DO NOT ADVISE TO USE THIS KIND OF MARATHON SESSION TO ANY MEMBER, ESPECIALLY TO NEWBIES. IT IS NOT A REGULAR PART OF MY PROGRAM, JUST AN EXPERIMENT. THIS KIND OF SESSION WAS NOT RECOMMENDED BY AVOCET.

Staging is a technique with much potential, in particular for girth, as long as it is executed with proper safety measures and according to the principles stated in “Pumping 101”.

I don’t believe I did any crazy stuff, really. The time difference between the two sessions was about 14 hours. However, eventhough I consider myself a newbie, I do have 9 monthe of conditioning. There are no injuries in my dick, no trombosed or inflamed veins, no red dots nor petechias, and I have regular erections of excellent quality. So I felt I was in perfect shape to intend something that, if not really extreme, can be potentially dangerous or even cathastrophic to an unconditioned penis.

If anything, Pumping, together with jelqing, have improved my penis’ health. I tend to mention my wife in my posts when reporting results, because she is a first eye witness, an enthusiastic believer in PE and a grateful beneficiary of its success.:cancer:

I can tell you this, only anecdotal from my own experience: When I was in a gain period (not semi-retired like now), every time I got a better pump or exercise result that was measurable just temporarily, turned out later to become a cemented gain down the road.

You may have seen some future potential in the building with your experiment. But what an encouraging thing to have happen, yes?

This is sort of what I was talking about in this post. Staging is a good name for it. I’ve been wondering about what’s going on physiologically to make it work so well. I’ve experimented since I did that post with just using one size per session and I don’t get nearly the same impressive chubby.

To prevent the donut effect and mushroom the head more, I’ve also been using these little stretchy silicone sleeves just under the glans. I took sharp sissors and clipped off the the little nubs so that it’s pretty smooth inside the tube.

I will routinely use Staging from now on. I’m hooked.:) Avocet recommended it a couple of months ago, I tried but the large size of the second tube caused some problems, especially balls sucked inside, which I’m not very fond of. This problem seems to be solved now.

So you went from 6” to 6.5” in EG. Damn thats a huge jump. So, basically staging is just using a bigger tube that what you would normally use correct?

It’s working in “stages.” You start with a smaller tube, then in the same session, move up to a larger one.

Hey avocet8 can you answer a question for me? I started pumping about 3 months ago doing whatever I thought was reasonable. I had decent gains but I’m now starting your Pumping 101 routine. How many days in a row should I do the 10 min of pumping the first week? Within the first month what do you think is a good days on / days off routine? I understand everything else beside this.

That’s impossible to answer because we don’t know at what level of conditioning you are now.

If you are not injury prone and have been pumping regularly, you can safely adapt the 101 program to whatever level within it you think you might be at now. If you get into any kind of trouble, you will have to back off to a lower level.

This is the first I’ve read about this. I have a 2.25 inch diameter tube, and accidentally bought a 2.75 or 3 inch one a while ago which is too big.

I can’t actually even pack the 2.25 inch one (well maybe barely at some points in the tube), so would staging be recommended for me? What is the point of it exactly if I can still fit in the smaller tube? Should it give me more expansion?

I stopped pumping a while ago since it never gave me permanent gains, but I suppose this could be something new for me.

Hey Mick, I guess I grabbed your attention. I had a similar situation, I didn’t feel right throwing away my original 1.75 pump even though I couldn’t pack it, so I went down to a 1.5 and packed it immediately. I staged on accident before looking it up and am still very pleased with the results. Try it out.

After reading that I’m still not sure whether you only switch to the bigger tube once you pack the smaller one, or whether you switch over before you pack the small one cause it somehow promotes better expansion?

I’m still not sure if I should try this cause I really haven’t seen any results from pumping ever.
