Still Spongy penis after pumping
At the beginning of this year, I enjoyed almost instant thickness gains and a little bit of length using an air pump. This was very encouraging and the feeling of a very heavy and larger penis was addicting. After a few weeks of relatively low intensity use, meaning always under 2-3hg, 10-15 minutes max, my penis has become spongier.
At first erections were simply a bit harder to get mentally, but then I realized that while I could still get a good erection, my penis felt spongy. A bit thicker but way less solid : I can press and deform it, while before it was almost like wood and undeformable. I’m not sure, but I feel like my penis should be filled by more blood. It’s like it is inflated, it’s actually a bit funny.
I should mention that a the time and for a while after, my diet was absolute garbage. Only today am I getting all the amino acids, carbs, fat, minerals and vitamins one should consume.
Now, more than 6 months later, I haven’t pumped nor done any routine yet I still have the same issue.
I am definitely not alone. There has to be some common factor among the minority of people who get spongy penis. Like here :

(obsessed has posted two threads over 6 months on the subjects, and it seems he didn’t improve his condition quickly if at all).
It is very, very unlikely to be anxiety related. I had GAD before and was able get and maintain steel hard erections for literal hours, marathon sex sessions or masturbation, stay rock hard 10-15 minutes after ejaculation. There can be some minor psychological effect, but as I wrote, I was always a bit concerned by my penis in the past and did fine.
Things that have helped so far :
- Pulsing Kegels. They seem to have some positive, tough very minor, impact. Maybe I should increase the volume to 100-200 kegels Every other days (no idea bout reverse kegels effects).
-Aerobic exercise and some specific lifting exercise (deadlifting in my case). I suspect exercises that increase pelvic floor blood flow would help a lot. My shaft does feel a bit harder from these. I will try barbell hip thrusting + bike consistently in the future. I would say this was the most useful yet.
-Better diet. This is evident but I had to actually do it. More and more calories, optimize ATP production , etc. Slight positive effect.
-My cylinder was a bit oversized. With shaving and coconut oil, I could sometimes get a perfect vaacum and not suck/press on my balls too much, EQ seemed to get slightly better, including the day after.
Things I have to experiment with :
- I was inspired by a LLLT thread, as I was already familiar with LLLT but not for PE. I have a 850nm IR lamp. I tried it once for less than a minute with no positive results so far. I will try to implement it 2-3 times a week, maybe.
-One user once claimed that it was fluid for him, and that is urologist "pressed" the fluid away. Not sure what to make of this.
-Maybe dry jelqing, wet jelqing, some specific stretches. Not sure. I tried 3-4 sessions of wet jelqing, 50%ish, gently a few months ago, without much progress. I also gave a gentle shot to some recent reverse jelqing technique but I absolutely hated the feel (tough it may help). There could be fantastic EQ exercises I don’t know about.
-Supplements. Arginine, L-citrulline and the like.
-ED/EQ Treatment.
-Radically increase pelvic floor blood flow by some mean.

-Heat as helped in the past, a little bit.
- Increase endogenous testosterone production. But this would surprise me, as I had crazy good erections when following a shit poor diet with phytooestrogens in the past.
-Getting a scientific, rigorous understanding of erections and pumping and understand if there is anything obvious to heal or fix.
Any advice ? I have not figured what kind of damage pumping could have caused yet and could use some help
