What are the downsides of using a wider air Pump?

Are there any downsides/side effects of using a wider air Pump?( wider than your correct cylinder size)

For example.

If my correct cylinder would be 5 inch circumference, but I use a 5.5 inch, what are the down sides besides the possibility of sucked balls?

Not that I can see. You will certainly get more edema which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The downside is exactly that. The uncomfortable feeling of having your balls sucked into the cylinder. If your intention is full package pumping you should select a cylinder that can comfortably handle your cock and balls on the order of at least 3 inch diameter or larger.

So the wider cylinder does not have any negative effects on the way that is delivering the negative pressure over the more narrow one?

The vacuum applied to the penis is the same no matter the gap from cylinder size. Think about when you jump into the deep end of the pool and swim down to 3m depth. The pressure you feel on your ears is the same if you were in a small pool or a large pool. Same theory both situations.
