When to upsize...and it's effect
First a thank you for the words of wisdom which I’ve received…and finally listened to, specifically quit doing suicidal pressures (15+hg). I’m now a convert to the 3-5 hg pressure and typically pump early in the morning for 30-45 minutes.
Here’s the question- I was 5.25” when I started pumping with a 1.75” LA tube in October 2003…then upgraded to a 2.0” in December. Now I’ve just ordered the 2.25” tube (and gone to 10” because I’m about 1/2 or so from knocking the lid on the 2”). Should I warmup in the 2.0? I tried that with the 1.75 -2 a few times but ended up packing pretty soon in the 1.75; since my base girth is 6.25+ inches I’ve not had any problems with sealing. Would there be any problem with just going straight to the 2.25?
Observations from the low pressure regimen: when warmed up after 30 minutes I can boost the pressure to 10hg and get another 1/2 to 3/4 inch of length. Is this “normal”? This takes me to 8.5” in the tube and I can get that hard out of the tube as well so I guess I’m wondering if the 3-5 is enough to do any good for length or am I just working on girth at that pressure? I milk the tube a bit at the 10 causing a peak at 12hg and can really feel the pull internally- a very nice stretch - but one of the limiting factors is the base girth, hence the 2.25” tube. I’m curious to see what effect hitting 10hg will be with that bigger base width…will I finally get close to 9”…?
Thanks for all replies/comments/helpful hints/bad jokes etc!
It's better to think you're doing something than to sit back and wonder what might have been Start: 12/2003 EBPL: 7 15/16 EG: 5 1/4 Now: 12/2004 EBPL: 8 1/2 EG: 5 5/8 (pumped is 5 7/8 mid, 6.25 base) FL: 6.25
