OK, the arrows show the ferrite rods, these need removed. I save them, but they likely have little to no value even for electronics parts. It helps intensify a magnetic field of an electromagnet, but we are not doing that. :p

The lines at the bottom of the coils show where to cut it off from the electrodes. Save as much of the copper coils as possible. Pretty clear from pic ;) Looks like this set has no enamel paint on that cut end, that is where we should connect our red and black wires. The enamel paint is the insulation, which will be sanded off later, inside the curve. (prior pix)
