I started PE 5 or 6 years ago because I was unhappy with my size. I started with a BPEL of just under 6" and an EG of around 4.5". That first year, I got some newbie gains of a 1/2" inch BPEL. I mostly did manual stretches and dry jelqs. I was pretty inconsistent, cycling enthusiasm, mild strains and soreness, fear, forgetting about PE, and then starting again.

In the last 18 months I decided to take a different approach. Instead of having a routine and goals, I started a habit of stretching a little in bed when I woke up, or couldn’t sleep, and dry jelq a bit too. I’d estimate an average of 3 minutes stretching and 15 dry jelqs each day, maybe 3 or 4 days a week.

I measured recently. I’m now at 17.5cm BPEL (6.89") and 12.1cm EG (4.76").. I also bought a ruler that has cm, which explains the change in units.

I’ve almost completed the first week, and I’ll record my weekly manual stretching time here. In terms of set up, it’s a rice sock warm up for five minutes, stretching mostly straight down, but with some straight out. Then a rice sock warm down for 5 - 45 minutes.. Because I enjoy lying in bed with a warm rice sock :-)

Week 1: Total manual stretching time of 79minutes. Mostly straight down, some straight out.

Stretching and holding feels.. Different.. And it feels “worked” after. Had positive PIs. I was so pleased with it that I did 27mins on Saturday. That was a mistake, felt uncomfortably sore. Skipped Sunday (last day of the stretching week).

Better by Monday (beginning of the stretching week), stretched for 7 mins. Felt okay but didn’t feel “worked”. Decided to stop at 7 mins. Today, 10 mins - felt “worked” and healthy. Will continue with 10 minutes a day until there’s a change in PIs, or sensations during/after.

Will update with total time after week 2.

Week 2: Total manual stretching time 64mins. More of a balance between straight down and straight out this week. Longest amount of stretching on a single day was 12.5 mins. When possible I tried to split the time between morning and evening.

That’s a great approach, congratulations and good luck. I like the fact that you are splitting your routine throughout the day. Also it’s good that you are not increasing the volume of your stretching early on. After a month or two you can start to increase the total stretching time by a little.

If you stay consistent you will be close to 7.5 bpel during this year.
