Holy shit, this actually works!

I have been lurking on this forum and “dabbling” in PE for nearly 2 years. I would try some things, lose focus or get busy with something else, and get frustrated that no gains were occurring. I wish I was more serious about it, but I don’t think that time was a complete waste. About 3.5 months ago I started a more consistent program that I devised based on what I had learned and what felt comfortable to me.

I intentionally held off on measuring until recently when I was feeling pretty sure I had at least some sort of gains. I’m proud to say that I have realized more than a 1/4” gain in length as well as some marginal girth gains (which I am not actively focusing on). Over the past few days I’m measuring a consistent 6” BPEL, which is a great milestone for me!

My personal program mostly involves hanging and some “dynamic” stretching in the shower. Oh and kegels.

Early on I was very consistent and eager and think I overdid it a bit. I ramped up my hanging weight too fast and was stretching even on days I felt sore. It got to a point that it was a chore and I didn’t want to strap into the hanger. I took a couple weeks off and only did some really light stuff when ligs felt tight. I think this helped prevent me from regressing during that time.

Now that I’m back at it, I’m comfortably getting through my hanging sessions with lower weights (3-4 20 min sets of 3-5lbs, ~4x/week) and I’m more thoughtful about my stretches. Some days I’ll do some stretches while watching TV or do extra hanging sessions for longer periods with just enough weight to put a slight tug).

Some things I think I’ve been pretty good at:

- Listening and reacting to my body, despite my initial mistake
- Persistence despite skepticism and previous failed attempts at getting into a groove

What I’d like to improve on:

- Resume the level of consistency I had at the beginning now that I’ve recovered from a bit of discomfort
- Patience ramping up hanging weight
- Post here more as a means of keeping myself engaged and to share my journey which may help others

All-in-all, I think my EQ and visuals (to me) have improved over time, but I think today is the single most important day for me so far because I measured actual gains and broke an inch “milestone”.

Onward and upwards!

Starting: 5.7” BPEL / 5.8” BPFSL / 5” EG

Current: 6.0" BPEL / 6.125" BPFSL / ~5"EG

Goal: 7.5” BPEL / 5.5” EG

Sounds like a good plan.

Are you new to hanging?

Start: 09/20/15 :: 4.5" BPEL x 4.75" EG

2016-01-07:: 5.125'' BPEL x 5.375'' EG

Current Goal: 6.00" BPEL x 5.5" EG

Chompjr, yes and no.

I used to hang with a home made bib hanger, but didn’t get into it consistently until I was using a Captn’s Wench. It was so much more comfortable I overdid it and went from 3lbs to 10lbs in a short period of time.
