Great progress stealth. I think about it too much too. I may try to wait until the 20th to measure which will make my 6 month mark. I don’t think I can wait that long though. I’ve technically already done an unofficial measurement. I’m very patient about pe and measuring does nothing against my motivation to pe. But I always got the itch to whip out the ruler when I’m by myself with a great eq.
Likewise on the rest and everything you’ve said. Spot on, and it matches the same conclusions I’ve reached. I like that you are a manual guy as well. Nothing against devices, but I am a purist in most of the things I do. There is some sort of sick satisfaction to “doing it the hard way” that I enjoy. It hearkens back to your comment about guys wanting a big truck or a big pecker to make them feel good. Doing it the hard way is one of the things that makes me feel more manly.
Anyway, on the measuring point, I have cut back on measuring as well. I was measuring every Monday, and that really helps in the beginning. You’ll see some snaps and get inspired. It also helps determine if a routine is actually working, because you should see something noticeable during the workout if you measure before and after. I’m not disciplined enough to wait months for another measure, but I am confident enough in my routine, now, that I can resist the urge to measure more than once a month. I measure on the last Monday, just had one.
I’ve been using a MWF routine, two or three times daily on workout days. I stretch and jelq separately, ten minutes or so for each set. I try really hard to catch the morning wood for jelqs. The holidays have mucked up the schedule, but in January I’ll get on it and settle into a weekly routine.
I also agree that changing it up every few weeks is important. I do that with my bodily workouts, and do the same with my PE. As stated, I am not trying to condition my penis to take a beating, although that is somewhat necessary in order to perform the exercises. So changing up the routine, even a little bit, will prevent slipping into a groove. Even something as simple as changing grip, hold times, intensity or the order of exercises is enough to prevent over-training.
Great thread.
