goinfor11 Hanging with FIR progress

Maybe you guys can help me decide when to add weight.

I’ve been “Hanging with FIRe” for a couple weeks now and it looks like my pre and post measurements have stalled consistently for a couple days with strain being very low (<1%).

I’ve been sticking to the advice of staying lightweight for as long as possible so I’ve not added any weight at all for two weeks.
I’m doing a 1lb warmup (15 mins), 1.5lb heated hang (30 mins), and 2lb cool down (15 mins).

Should I give it some more time to see if strain picks up again?
How many days of <1% strain should I let pass before increasing weight?

When I do increase weight, by half a pound, should I add the half-pound to my warmup hang or to my heated hang?
Either:
1.5lb warmup, 2lb heated hang, 2.5lb cool down. Or 1lb warmup, 2lb heated hang, 2.5lb cool down ?

I move a half pound every two weeks and always add weight to my heated hang. I’m on a deconditioning break but will try this time to go longer than two weeks before adding weight just to see if I really need to add weight or not every two weeks.

A couple of days of no change isn’t that bad, you could give it another day or two.
When you do add weight, do you have smaller weights than .5lb? Could you add 0.25lb?

Yeah I could add less.

Do you have a rule of thumb for how many days of low/no strain before you add?

Thanks for the input.

When do you increase your base/starting weight?

For example, six weeks go by and you’ve added 1.5lbs to your heated weight, and therefor your cool down weight - when do you increase your base weight?

I know I read something somewhere in the hundred pages of 5.5Squared, Longerstretch, and Kyrpa threads but I seriously can not remember the guideline for this particular thing. Just that you want your cool down weight to be 20-25% heavier than your heated hang weight.

Don’t really have a rule. I would usually start my cycle with a lighter weight to get my dick used to the process again. After two weeks I would be back up to the weight from the previous cycle and then the last 3 or 4 weeks I would hang the same weight which would be 1/4 kg heavier than the last cycle.

Once I get back to hanging I will be going up in smaller increments, 0.1 kg. Will see what that brings. Hopefully start that in September
