PE and No Fap Journal

I forgot to mention last night but I changed up the order of the routine. Instead of heating then wrapping I’m doing it the other way now. I think this has made the setup a little easier. I’ve noticed that when I apply heat I tend to be a bit more sensitive to touch which makes wrapping more difficult.

11/10/23

I did 4 sets of 20 min hangs at 6 lbs. Today. I iced after the last set. I’m taking the weekend off from PE exercises, but will still measure on Sunday. Nofap is still going well. I had a moment today where I was on my phone and I saw something that would normally be a trigger for a craving, but I closed the app out and turned my phone off. I thought to myself that I don’t want to go down this route because I know where it leads and it’s not good. I think I’m starting to get in the right head space for nofap. I’m still going to have porn cravings, but it will get easier to overcome them. Eventually I will get to the point where I no longer want to look at porn. There is a finite number of cravings I will have to overcome to get to that point. I have no idea how many it will be, but the important part is that it is finite. Every craving I overcome gets me a little bit closer to my goal. I can do this. One day at a time.

11/12/23
Nothing to report about yesterday. I was occupied from 10am-10pm and did nothing PE or nofap related. Today was pretty much the same until about 8pm today, with ~3.5 hrs. Spent in the car. I measured today and am pleased with the results. I measured 7 3/8" - 7 1/2" BPFSL. I decided to also take pictures when I measured. The two measurements I got on camera looked to be about 7 7/16" BPFSL so that’s what I’ll go with. From what I’ve seen from some other member’ measurements a BPFSL of ~8.5" correlates to ~8" BPEL. That means I am almost 1" of BPFSL away from reaching my goal. I think I can get there in less than 6 months. It is essential for me to continue nofap because I am beginning to rely on EQ as my main PI for when to take breaks.

I think rather than taking two weeks off, I’ll bump the weights up to 6.5 lbs. Tomorrow and see how that feels. For sure going to be taking the week of Thanksgiving off from PE though. Hopefully in the next two weeks I’ll have a prototype working for something I’ve been thinking about trying out. I’m pretty wiped tonight so I’ll take some time tomorrow or Tuesday to do a full summary of the last 4 weeks.

11/13/23
I did 3 sets of 20 min hangs at 6.5 lbs. Today. I guess taking the weekend of was a good idea because my EQ was really good today. I got super hard right after taking off my hanger. I decided to measure and got a picture of me measuring 7 3/8" BPEL. Yesterday I estimated I would need to get to 8.5" BPFSL to reach 8" BPEL, but based off this measurement today I may not need to go that much over 8" BPFSL. It’s possible I am closer to my goal than I thought.

Today marks two weeks on the streak. I kept getting hard trying to hang today. It took me nearly 50 minutes to get the wrap on and start hanging before the 3rd set. Surprisingly though I did not have an urge to look at porn. I think that having a short term clearly defined goal for PE has made nofap feel easier. Now that I am clearly seeing changes after a relatively short time I am feeling more motivated to quit porn.

Here is a summary of the past 4 weeks. I’m doing this so that I have an easy reference to look back on in the future. I started logging on the 15th of October which was a Sunday. Each set of hangs I did was 20 min long with at least 10 min in between sets. I gained 3/16" in BPFSL over the last 4 weeks.

Week 1 (10/15-10/22):
20 total sets at 5.5 lbs. 10/19 and 10/20 were rest days. I hung 4 days in a row and it trashed my EQ. I also relapsed twice during the first week.
Key takeaways: I need to take time to rest to avoid injury. As a rule I won’t hang more than 3 days in a row now.

Week 2 (10/22-10/29):
10 total sets at 6 lbs. I took the weekend of the 28th off as well as the 23rd and 25th. I didn’t make many posts that week so not as much info. I relapsed at least once this week, possibly more.

Week 3 (10/29-11/5):
15 total sets at 6 lbs. 11/1 and 11/5 were rest days I relapsed on the 29th or the 30th. Can’t remember exactly when because I didn’t write it down. I starting using cotton to wrap instead of the old cut up sock I had been using.

Week 4 (11/5-11/12):
15 total sets at 6 lbs. I took the weekend off and 11/8 off. I did not relapse this week. I ended the week with a 13 day streak.

Summary: I found that around 15 sets per week is about the right amount of volume. I am probably going to start doing 3 sets per day max unless I take more than 2 days off in a week. Doing nofap has improved my EQ by a lot. I can easily measure while erect now without having to look at porn. The changes I made to my routine was switching the order to wrapping then heating, adding in a cotton wrap, and icing down after the last set as a cool down. I also found that I don’t need to increase the weight every week to still make gains. I am very happy with my rate of progression. Also, it seems that my BPEL tracks very closely to my BPFSL. Hopefully this trend continues because that would mean I am only about 5/8" away from breaking the 8" BPEL barrier. Another important takeaway for me is I need to do better recording my sets and reps. Doing a journal entry once a day has been very useful. I may also make a template for journal entries so I don’t leave out any important information.

Moving forward: This week I plan to hang at 6.5 lbs. The goal is to do 15 sets this week. I also picked up an electric heat pad and will probably start to use this over the hot/cold pack I’ve been using. I will continue to measure BPFSL every 4 weeks for consistency. I think this is a long enough period of time for noticeable gains to take place but so long that I don’t get any feedback. My current length goal is still 8" NBPEL, but depending on how quickly I get there I may keep going for length gains. A short term goal for me now is to reach 7.5" BPEL by the end of the year. I like having both short and long term goals to keep me motivated.

11/14/23
I did 3 sets of 20 min hangs at 6.5 lbs. Today. I cut the last set ~2 min short because the tip of my penis was starting to go numb. I think it might have been because of a combination of having the new heat pad set too high and having the hanger clamped too tight. I felt fine as soon as I had the wrap off. I iced down and loosely wrapped and put the hanger back on. I hung for ~10 minutes with 1.5 lbs. I might start incorporating this into my routine so that I completely cool down in an extended state. I might do this for longer than 10 minutes if possible next time.

I’m still not having many urges to watch porn. While I am thankful because this makes keeping the streak easier, I am worried because I usually have a second wave of urges after about a month. I can’t get complacent with practicing good self talk. I think PE has been a positive influence for me wanting to quit porn. Maybe another part of it is I don’t feel insecure about my size anymore. I think a part of me still didn’t believe that I had actually made any gains until I started regularly tracking progress.

11/15/23

I took a rest day today. My EQ is a little worse than usual today. Also today is day 16 of the streak. I had some cravings this morning but made it through the day alright. Thankfully I haven’t spent much time alone today otherwise it may have been a different story. I have to keep pushing so that I can reach my goals. I am very grateful that my EQ has been so good recently because I know to rest on days like this know. In the past when doing PE and watching porn I was constantly overdoing it and having to take more time off to recover. That is why it is important for me to quit using porn.

11/16/23 - day 17 of streak
I did 3 sets of 20 min hangs at 6.5 lbs. today. I have noticed that the tip of my penis has been going numb while hanging recently. I think the cause is the new heat pad I’ve been using. It takes longer to heat up and I’ve been heating after putting the hanger on. I think I’m just spending too long in the hanger. I’ll start heating before putting the hanger on now. I’ve also changed where I focus the heat on. I used to focus on the area where the ligaments meet the pubic bone, but now I’ve started wrapping the heat pad around my dick. I’m still icing after the last set then going back in the hanger for a while at a lower weight. I might start using an ADS now. It’s something to look into. I’ve also still been doing manual skin stretches. I definitely think I need to stretch out the skin on the bottom of my shaft. I have been getting a more natural looking flaccid hang after manually stretching the skin. I guess because I mostly hang BTC that’s caused uneven skin stretching.

Nothing much to report nofap related. I’m going to start putting the streak number at the top as a reminder so I don’t forget. I also might try and avoid looking at my dick as much as possible. This is because even though I’m already over an inch from when I started PE, and I know for a fact that I have grown since starting, I still sometimes don’t believe it. This is probably because the day to day change in length isn’t really noticeable so even though I’m growing I can’t see it. So I’m going to try and look at my erect size as little as possible so when I do measure I’ll be able to see a difference. I’ll still measure BPFSL every 4 weeks but from now on I’m not going to measure or look at my erections until I’m confident I’m close to 8" BPEL.

I suggest you roll a thin cardboard tube with the same diameter and length as your starting measurements. Write the dimensions and measurement date on it. Then roll another with your current measurements. It’s cheap, quick, and something you can *see*.

Also, go to calcsd.info or one of the other penis size calculator sites, type in the dimensions, and get the volume. A quarter inch doesn’t sound like much sometimes, until you note how much more volume you’ve added. And even tiny amounts circumerence make a big change, which is why girth seems to happen slowly.

I do not have a vacuum hanger but I’ve been considering picking one up. I think having a better setup might be worth the money since it can save me a lot of time. It’d be nice to go from hanging to using an ADS without having to change the setup. I’m looking at the ADS/vacuum hanging kit from totalmanshop. Probably going to order it in the next couple of days.

11/17/23 - day 18 of streak
Another late night last night so I didn’t get a chance to post on Friday. I did 3 sets of 20 min hangs at 6.5 lbs. on Friday. No changes in the routine. Still doing manual skin stretches in the shower. I probably should have taken Friday off. My EQ wasn’t the best and I was a little sore but went ahead with PE anyway. I skipped doing lightweight hanging after my sets because my dick was feeling pretty beat up. I’ve noticed that I get a much more intense stretch with the heating pad wrapped around my shaft. Not really sure why.

Nofap is still going well. I’m definitely having more urges now than at the start of the week. However, I feel like I’m doing a good job dealing with them. I think it’s starting to click for me that instead of watching porn and fantasizing I can put in effort to make my reality better. Instead of running from my problems I need to address them. I still like the idea of trying not to look at my erect length for awhile. I think I just like the idea of having a "big reveal" after a few months so my progress is really noticeable. This won’t be a permanent thing, just until I feel like I’m closer to my length goal. I also think this will keep me from obsessing over my size and in the long run will be good for me mentally.

11/19/23 - day 20 of streak

I did not do any PE yesterday or today. My EQ isn’t great right now and I’m still a bit sore. I was planning on taking next week off anyway. I haven’t done any cardio this week so that could be contributing to my reduced EQ. I am going to order a vacuum hanger next week once I’m done traveling for a while. No updates regarding my streak. I’m getting better at self talk and dealing with urges.
