SizeGenetics review after 2 months and some progress info

Hello Thunder’s, and thank you all for all the great insights and help that’s been accumulated here over the years. It’s been a great help in beginning my PE journey.
The SizeGenetics review and beginners guide will be the next comment.

Progress basics/introduction.
So, I’m in my late thirties, found myself needing a project, and came across PE. I quickly trawled through the forums and blogs with great SEO, and found that not only does it seem feasible, but that this forum is probably the only one not drenched in commercial hype, thank you again.

So, I started the journey at 16,2 cm BPEL, 13 cm EG. Aiming mostly for length of about 20-21 cm cemented, and if possible a girth of about 15 cm, which seems very close to 8" by 6" which I’ve found out is a common PE goal.
My motivation is mostly self enhancement, enjoying a discipline/routine to follow, but I also do like the thought of having a nice surprise for my lovers.

I started reading up on almost everything on the forum, trying jelqing, which I hated, and stretching, which I didn’t get, and quickly decided to throw money at the problem and get an extender. And as SizeGenetics have excellent marketing, I landed on their Comfort package.

First two weeks with their starter routine, I gained 0,9 cm, which probably mostly is better measuring, but I also noticed a slight more floppiness to my erect penis, so something happened.
The next 9 weeks, I’ve ramped up the routine and worked around the shortcomings of the device, and am now up to BPEL 17,9 cm (+1,7 cm), with EG 13 cm. Excited to continue, and am slowly getting to enjoy the process.

My plan is to do extension to about 19-20 cm or plateau, and switch over to pumping for girth and the last bit of length.
SizeGenetics promise up to a 29% length increase in 3 months, of which I have one month and 3 cm left, so that seems improbable, but others have reported such gains in 6 months, so I’ll continue on and see what’s needed to continue gains.

Welcome to Thunders and congratulations on your success!

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

SizeGenetic review and tips after 2 months

Now for the SizeGenetics review.

The SizeGenetics has a sleek website, excellent seo posting (so very many content marketing posts), and most complaints are with their customer service and price.
The complaints are however constant over 20 years of business, so I’m fully expecting them to have horrible support, and to not honor their money back guarantee.

I got the Comfort package at €240 with some discount, which they seem to have on all the time. They vary with seasons however (current price is €210), so use a price watch if you want the best bargain.

The delivery within Europe was great, got my device on the third day, in a discrete box and everything. The product itself is packaged in veneer type box with some faux-leather cladding, with tape as a hinge. Looks cheap slick, which is probably what they’re aiming for. The contents are then the stretcher, which you can see from the pictures is the same as the generic plastic ones, some steel exchangable lengthening rods which feel very sturdy, a silicon noose, and a hodge podge of random "comfort" options:
Comfort strap - a wide clamping band
Protection pad - a soft foam donut
No-slip Protech - a rubbery sheet
1 Advanced comfort plaster - a single use <1 mm foam plaster in the shape of the comfort strap

These might work differently for different people, but for me:
* The comfort strap was too loose to use without the silicone noose, and too painful to use with the noose. Also, the comfort strap pulls my skin through the sled openings and pinches me horribly.
* Protection pad - too small for my penis. When forced on (slightly overstretched) and used as protection for where the strap/noose goes it slips on or gets covered by my foreskin, and still catches on both comfort strap and noose, tearing with every application.
* No-slip Protech - Rubber sheet, about 6x19 cm. Also gets caught and tears by noose/strap, also slips with foreskin. Vulcanises with prolonged use.
* Advanced Comfort Plaster - Single use item, of which I was supplied one, and can’t find replacements in my area. Never used. Looks like it goes under the comfort strap, or similarly cover wide part of the penis, can’t imagine it wouldn’t have the same foreskin problems as the others.

I’ve found no combination of these that allows me to use the device according to the instructions and week 3 of the starter routine. I ended up building a velcro mod, see further down.

Accompanying the kit are also two mysterious discs with cutouts that match the indent on your extension rods, these are wrenches. Why on earth they decided to make them round, so that you can’t get neither leverage nor purchase for the amount of material, I cannot say, but be prepared to use tongs when shit gets stuck.

Also, I have to mention that the accompanying manual, and official instruction videos are abysmally bad. The instructions do not work for my penis size, nor do they work for uncut penises. It also took me weeks to understand that the instructions do show you how to strap in to the device and how to tension the device, they just don’t address the many beginner problems. And I still have no idea how to decide on a good fit and/or tension, nor how to achieve it with the noose and strap without immediate blood loss (which they unequivocally say is bad/too tight). And the starter routine is presented visually only in video 8 of the series, and nowhere else.
They also offer no guidance on the very common questions from around the forums (catching hex nuts, slippage, uncut penises, how to get into or out of the device, how to get gains), questions I’ve seen asked almost 20 years ago in various threads. All in all, a very pre-millenial approach to customer service.

Basically, you should expect to have to find the answers to usage questions by yourself, as well as experiment and adapt the device to your needs. It is NOT a commercial grade product in the post 2000’s sense, you will need to put in some effort to make it work. Hopefully I can answer most of the beginner questions in this post or thread, and you can get to enjoy the stretching/gains with less frustration than seems typical.

Troubleshooting
##############

* Slow Startup routine - according to SizeGenetics 2024
When - duration - tension
Week 1 - 1 hr/day - 1200g
Week 2 - 2hrs/day - 1200g
Week 3 - 3hrs/day - 1200/2000g
Week 4 - 4hrs/day - 1200/2000g
Week 5 - 5hrs/day - 2000g
Week 6 - 6 hrs/day - 2000g

I followed this, it was fine, felt very safe, but I needed to take breaks every hour.
Also, ramping up tension and time brings about many more problems with slippage, injury/irritation, and discomfort.
Noose and/or strap should NEVER lead to blueness or numbness of glans.

* Alternative starter routine from Elite Manliness
Source: SIZEGENETICS ROUTINE FOR BEGINNERS
Read it for loads of safety info and support.

Week 1
No pain, no pinching, just get used to wearing an extender.
Day 1 - 4x15 minutes, some rotating stretches in the breaks
Day 2 - Off-day
Day 3 - 4x15 minutes + try for 1x30, break if needed. Rotating streches in the breaks
Day 4 - Off-day
Day 5 - 4x30 mins, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 6+7 - Off-days

Week 2
Day 1 - 4x45 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 2 - 4x60 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 3 - rest day.
Day 4 - 3x90 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 5 - 3x105 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 6+7 - Rest days.

Week 3
Increase your extender by 0,5 cm. Focus on getting to long-term levels.
Day 1 - 3x120 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 2 - 3x140 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 3 - 3x160 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 4 - rest day
Day 5 - 2x240 + 1x60 minutes, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 6+7 - rest days

Week 4
Extend another 0,5 cm. You should be ready for full, everyday stretching. Don’t take more than 2 days off in a row (unless injured).
Bathroom breaks are expected, where you take the device off, and do stretches before putting it on again.
Day 1 - 2x4 hrs + 1x2 hrs, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 2 - 2x5 + 1x1 hrs, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 3 - 2x6 hrs, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 4 - 2x6 hrs, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks, again.
Day 5 - 1x9 +1x3 hrs, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 6 - 1x12 hrs, 30 sec rotating stretches in the breaks.
Day 7 - rest day

* General "wisdom"

General "wisdom" seems to be that total hours in stretching is what matters most.
Elitemanliness claims that at least 4 hrs/day is needed for gains, with 12 hrs/day the "most decent gains". Elitemanliness claims that 0,5 cm/week is expected at 1x12 hrs/day stretch, or every 2 weeks at 3x4 hrs/day.
An old thread on with a SG sales representative on Biohacker, they claim that you will get no gains if you use the extender less than 6-8 hours/day after the starter routine. But that this can be lowered to probably 4 hrs if you stretch to exhaustion (of ligaments/tunica?) beforehand.

* Gains tips

In the Biohacker thread, the SG rep also claims that doing things differently is necessary for gains. One variation is to change tension and/or length, another is to change the angle (pointing up, out, or down in increasing challenge).
Other threads claim their stretching routine is the best. I have tried thighwards stretches, alternating left+right for a total of 100 per side, and rotating stretches, both seem to work better than no stretches.
Stretching helps me both feel a stretch in the ligaments and/or tunica from start, lower/eliminate loosened tension from things "settling", helps getting blood into the glans to keep the strap in place, and prevents/lowers movement of penis under foreskin which also aids with less slippage.

Most sources agree that Jelqs and pumping should be fine with the extender, although extending before pumping will make for less hassle with slippage. Otherwise, as the swelling subsides your noose slips.

#########
Issues
#########

* Foreskin / Traction
Exactly how to deal with your foreskin will depend on anatomy, but from my own experience the only way to avoid slippage is to:
1. Experiment until you figure how stretched your penis will be in the extender.
2. Figure out how to extend both glans and foreskin to a stretched position. With experience you’ll figure out how much under maximum tension you need to be for it not to hurt.
3. With everything extended, wrap the shaft tight enough to keep the glans distended, make sure to wrap where your noose is going if you want the padding. With practice you’ll figure out what pressure is enough, start a little too high, and take breaks, until then.
4. With everything extended, put your noose at the edge of the glans, but slightly closer (for me about 5 mm) to your base than the final position, as the foreskin will still move.
5. Still keeping everything in place, you now need to compress the extender, lift the wrapped foreskin out of the way and tighten the noose. I couldn’t manage more than one side at a time, so had to change grip halfway through.
6. Gently release the extender, hope that nothing moves, and adjust the tension via the screws.
7. Probably attach the comfort strap on top of your noose to keep it from sliding anyway.

The official response of tape the foreskin to your base, or wedge it in the base piece, is incomprehensible to me. I’m both much too sensitive, and my foreskin will not stay neither taped nor wedged open.

* Velcro mod

So I made a velcro mod (as the official one isn’t sold anymore). I found single sided 20 mm velcro with adhesive backing, which I promptly glued together and made a two part system.
The velcro is glued one hook-side to one loop side, so that when wrapped it can fasten to itself, and all the scratchy hooks can stay on the outside.
Part 1. Penis ring. I made a 12 cm long strip that goes tightly around the shaft and distends the glans.
Part 2. Fastening strap. I made about 11" (27 cm) strap that is threaded through the strap slats in the sled. My strap is either too long or too short, but I haven’t figured out how I prefer it yet, and it works, but you could probably do about 30 cm and have it double wrap, or cut it down to single wrap as you’d prefer.

The strap-in process isn’t very easy, but it’s comfortable:
1. Wrap the shaft in the extended and stretched position as above. I use the rubbery sheet, but I’m sure micropore, baby sock, kleenex soft cleaning wipe, or vet wrap would work as well.
2. Attach the penis ring velcro strap with the soft part towards your penis, and with the farthest edge a little below the edge of the glans (about 2-3 mm for me), we want it to catch on the edge when extended. Attach it as tight as needed to get gland distension.
3. Thread the long strap through the slats, I like to have one side very short (~1,5 cm) and the other long to wrap with. Compress the extender, attach your penis ring as high up on the sled as you can.
4. Adjustments. Here’s the inelegant trick: I use the strap to further clamp down my glans. Use the short end of the strap to fasten to the penis ring, try to compress the ring and use the strap end to fasten it like that.
4b. Now we do it again for the other side, with the long end of the strap. Compress the penis ring, pull the strap taut, and fasten the penis ring to it. Done correctly, you’ll have used the long strap to both compress the ring, and pull the ring towards the sled.
4c. The rest of the long strap is used to compress the ring even more on the upper side. And then to wrap it around the whole sled, clamping everything down, and securing it on the underside.
(The idea is a you-clamp fastening, with the long strap pulling as straight into the sled as possible on both sides, and then using the rest of the long strap to narrow the you-bend, and secure.)

This still slips sometimes, especially when not stretching or after about 2 hrs, but it’s painless to reapply, so can go quite fast compared to the noose.

* Blueness & numbness

I have no idea how to stay strapped above 1200g tension without my foreskin turning blue and/or numb and/or cold after 20-40 minutes.
With practice I’ve managed to prolong the time before it occurs, and keep it from going cold for almost 2 hours.
Any tips would be appreciated.

* Tension

I still have no idea how to decide what tension you should use.
I try to keep it at a tension I believe I’ll be able to sustain for the whole session, which differs a bit with irritability and day. Usually between estimated 1800-2400g.

Most of your tension will however be set by the rod length. When strapping in, you’ll pull the penis and compress the extender, which is the same as using tension. And when everything is fastened, you’ll see how much residual tension there is.
For me, I usually end up around 2000g tension, and change out my rods until I do.

Tensioning

The hex parts often catch on the inside of the extender rod, when screwing to adjust tension. I find I need to push down the sled to unbind the hex parts, and typically they extend correctly afterwards. It also adds a funny/annoying bounce to the process.

The screws are very hard to work with under tension. I found that if I unscrewed them almost all the way from the first extender bar, and lubricated with sewing machine oil, they got much more bearable to turn (and it didn’t feel like they would be siezing at any moment).

The screws often turn poorly enough that they take the extension rods with them, unscrewing them in the process. The more rod parts you use, the higher the chance.
I find using a bit of thread-locking fluid of low strength helps with this. Enough to keep them from unscrewing, but not enough that you can’t switch them out.

Pinching

The base of the device has thin spaces for the extender rod to swivel around, it’s easy for pubic hair or skin to get pinched in there. Besides trimming down your pubic hair, I find that changing the direction of the extender helps, but it differs from day to day. Change between up, out, down, and inbetweens.

Surviving your day

I still have no idea how to manage to keep this on for more than 2 hours at a time without slipping or numbness/coldness.
Currently I’m taking breaks this often, and reapplying quickly.

It is possible to tuck the extender under a shirt and walk around a little, but bending at the waist is a no-no, and walking will jostle the extender enough that I will slip out within 50-100 m.
Sitting in a normal (European) car can work at 1200 g for about 45 minutes, but higher tension and/or longer times will slip, and sometimes painfully - not great in traffic. Maybe a truck/high seat could allow me to be more stretched out, but I haven’t tried.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you!
Hope to continue learning, and maybe offer some of the tidbits I’ve discovered along the way =)

Howdy, BT!

I think you’ve run into most of the reasons why old-style compression extenders aren’t popular with knowledgeable PE practitioners nowadays. The extenders that use a vacuum cap are painless and don’t require periodic removal to prevent circulation problems. They tend to be a bit longer and bulkier though, which is a problem for some people.

If you like the extender otherside, autoextender.com makes a kit to convert your style of extender to use a vacuum cap, or you can do it yourself by running a small machine screw through the "sled" part of yours and using the head of the screw as a hook for the wire on the vacuum cap. You’ll probably need some more extender rods; SG should have them. I would bet the rods from any of the cheap eBay extenders would also work.

Interesting. I did look at them, but saw people having issues with not being able to maintain tension, and with foreskin. I actually looked for a penimaster, but they seem to not be in business anymore.
In the end I was won over by the SizeGenetics content marketing, over the Phallosan. There’s so many threads on so many forums to go through, and when you’re looking for a solution, you’ll only spend so much time trawling for lesser mentioned variants, which SG well know.

I also had a look at the Tugger-style cap, but as I really don’t want more foreskin, I opted not to in the end.

I’ll make sure to check out the autoextender though, thanks for the link!
