Superten's journey to 10"

Hello everyone.

I have been a silent member on these forums for a while, and a lurker for many years before this.

I’ve learned a lot on these forums. Thank you to all the members here.

I started out doing manuals and am now primarily extending. I wish to share some of my extending experiences so far to help others who are starting their own extender journey. Furthermore I wish to share my progress with other who are considering extending as an option.

Starting stats:

BPEL: 7.65 - 7.9
MSEG: 6"
Averaged EG (top, mid and bottom): 5,75 5.75
NBPEL: ~ 6.3

In October 2017 I started out doing manuals, which I did for about 6 months (linear newbie routine).

I was inconsistent when measuring, and am therefore unsure of my exact starting stats and gains from the manual period. I believe I gained no more than .25 inches from manuals.

My mistake was to measure too close to the base. Since the pubic bone is at an angle, my measurements would vary from how hard I pushed. I now measure by placing the ruler vertically, and my measurements are now very consistent. I found the technique on this forum, so thank you!

I took a break in the summer of 2018, and started back up with extending in late August. I took new measurements, which then showed 20 cm (7.9 inches)

I log my extender hours daily and have now passed the 1000 hour mark, extending for about 4-5 hours daily on average. The average includes break days with 0 hours in the extender. My median extender hours per day is 7-8 hours.

Current stats:

BPEL: 8.3 inches
MSEG: 6"
Averaged EG: 5.75

I have taken steps to make my extender more comfortable. I use a vacuum type rod extender, which becomes painful below the glans after about two hours. The vacuum head edge buries itself into the skin right below the glans, on the top side of my unit. I have not found anyone else writing about this problem, or any solutions.

To be able to up my median hours to ten or twelve hours, I’d like to be able to wear it for 5-6 hours at a stretch without having to reapply it too often.

I have found a method which allows me to do this. I bought a roll of tegaderm. This is a thin film which breathes and is skin friendly. I apply a small amount of this to the problem area. Testing it now as I write this. Going on 4 hours without any pain! Hopefully this tip will help someone else with the same issues.

Also, everyone should build up to wearing the extender for long hours. I do not recommend wearing it for this many hours before you have plenty of experience with how the extender feels on your unit. I started from 15-30 minute sets in my first weeks.

At the base of the extender I use some soft medical pads, to avoid pain where the extender base connects with the scrotum and the pelvic bone. I use some scissors to cut a plus sign (+) into them and thread it on my unit before I apply the extender for a set. This has removed the contact pain for me.

I am currently extending at about 900 grams, and doing well. It feels like I am in the growth zone. I started out with too much tension the first 1000 hours, and am scaling down now due to it. The extender scale marks were showing the wrong tension levels. I recommend that everyone checks the actual tension output of their extender using a kitchen scale or similar. I thought I were using 900 grams, but I were actually applying 1100 -1200 grams.

I will update on my progress every 500 hours.

Thank you to everyone for contributing to this awesome forum.
