I am starting this thread to track my own progress as I am just beginning PE. I’ve done PE on and off for the last few months but now I plan on starting a dedicated routine and sticking with it. I’m gonna start by saying I am pretty small compared to the other people I’ve seen on thunders. Seems like everyone thinks they’re small but most people who start seem to already be at 6” or above. I’m still pretty skeptical about whether PE will actually work. But after having read countless threads and seen people making progress I dare to hope I’ll see some results in a few months time. My starting measurements are as follows:

Flaccid
FL: 2.5-3
BPFL: 3”-3.5”
FG: 3.75”

Erect
NBPL: 4.5”
BPEL: 5.5” (pressed quite hard haha)
EG: 4.5”

GOALS
Now I don’t have any ridiculous goals. Truthfully I just want to be average. I would be more than pleased w an average sized penis. I hope to be able to get to 5.5” NBPL erect and an ERECT GIRTH of 5” - 5.5”. Although if I am able to succeed in accomplishing those I wouldn’t mind going past it. I read in someone’s description that the ideal penis length is 7.7” with a girth of 5.5” - 6.5”. So I guess you could say that would be my long long term goal.

Currently I’m going to be following the newbie routine. Here goes. Wish me luck.

Day 1

Followed the newbie routine today. Warmed up with a heating pad for 5-6 minutes. If anyone has done this I’d be glad to hear about it. I prefer heating pad because of the constant heat but if a wash cloth works better I will gladly switch over. Thoughts and ideas appreciated. I followed the warm up with about 6 min of stretching. Two rounds of Up, down, left, right, out and out in a circular motion each for 30 seconds. I wet jelqed for about 12 minutes for a total of 150 jelqs, about 3 seconds each. I had a hard time here keeping an erection. I never thought it would be so difficult. 2 issues, first off from what I’ve read it is best to jelq at 60%-70% erection. My problem is I don’t really know what that looks like. From the jelq video that’s on the website the guy looks like he’s about to explode! That can’t be 60-70 erect. Second, back to being able to keep an erection, any tips or tricks in doing so? I know I could always watch porn but I stopped watching porn a few months back and I don’t want to start again now. If there’s anyone in a similar situation who doesn’t watch porn to keep an erection please let me know. Much appreciated. Afterwards I did about 15 kegels at 5seconds each. I never thought this would be so difficult! The routine asks for 50 I think. My muscle was shot after 15. Any help on increasing amount and duration of kegels? That would be it for the first day. Oh and I used coconut oil for lubrication. Is that alright. Is there a universally accepted lubricant for PE. Does lube work better than oil?

Don’t worry too much, you’re doing all sorts of new things and your body needs to get used to it. It’s a marathon, you have plenty of time to figure everything out. Heating pad seems a common way to warm up, personally I’ve enjoyed a 100W IR lamp a lot (no water, no mess, easier to get ready for stretching)
You don’t really need the 60-70% erection for jelqing, a lot of us jelq at lower erection levels. Lower levels mean that you sit somewhere between a stretch and a jelq, which is considered safer (especially when you’re starting) and targets length more than girth. Higher erection levels target girth more. You also don’t necessarily need to do 150 reps, some people do 50 (I do 100), others do 300. It’s very personal.
I’d advise you to stay off the porn. Quitting was a good thing, I’ve also recently quit, partly due to PE. Doing so will allow you more control over your erections (for jelqing). I don’t know your masturbation habits, but not masturbating for a while could also help.
Kegels are a muscular exercise (the PC muscle) and as every muscle it can be trained. I struggled to get past 25 at the start, now I do 50 reps of 5 seconds, 10 of 10 seconds and 10 of 20 seconds per day, sometimes 2 sets of those. Just do your kegels every day and it’ll get better. This will also give you much more control over your erections and jelqs because this muscle regulates the blood flow into your unit (partially).
Finally believe it or not, but 5.5” BPEL is just about average! Body shaming affects men, too. I think Firegoat has the description for the ideal penis sized at 7.7 x 5.7 iirc.

Been A While

Ok so I haven’t posted on this thread for a while. It was to track my progress through my course of PE. And I haven’t posted since the first day. That does not mean I haven’t been doing PE. I’m just not in the routine of making posts about it out of laziness and the fact that I am doing the same thing everyday so it doesn’t really change. But I will try to do daily posts to this thread now for my sake. I have not been keeping up with my PE as much as I’d like to. I am on the 2 days on 1 off routine but I am doing more like 2-3 sessions a week. Everyone now and then I’m more consistent. Still working on getting fully into the routine. Today is actually and off day but I felt like making the post since I’ve been having some difficulties.

One is I still have no idea what is the proper erection size is. I am not good at gauging if I am at the proper level. It seems too little most of the time. And I have a difficult time getting it erect unless I watch porn. Which I really am trying to avoid. For a bit I thought I might’ve had a problem lol but it seems to work fine if I’m having sex or just with a girl so I don’t know maybe my penis is shy when it comes to PE.

Another problem is I’m still not sure how tightly I should be gripping it. What I’m doing now is having a 50%-60% erection so it kinda still feels soft unless I grip it very tightly. I also hold the base in an ok grip while my other hand jelqs and keep alternating as one hand moves down the shaft. So basically there’s always a hand holding the base of the shaft and what that does is makes the penis much harder and I feel the jelq a lot more. I don’t know if this is okay or not and if I might be sustaining any injury. After yesterday’s session my penis hurt a little bit and was kinda tingly if I got an erection. I don’t know if that’s a bad sign. Again this goes back to the problem of grip strength and erection level. If I don’t hold the base to trap the blood it feels like I’m jelqing too soft. And as I mentioned in my first post, the jelq video isn’t much help with that. The guy looks like he is hard as a rock and clutching his penis like a vice which can’t be what you’re suppose to do as a beginner. Unless I’m wrong.

Also could it be possible that the newbie routine is too much for me? I have been jelqing fairly consistently for almost a month now and I don’t feel any progress really. Nor have I had any positive indicators. In fact my penis doesn’t seem to get that post jelq hang like it should. It actually seems to get smaller. I don’t get raging hard boners in the morning like people report. I’ve been following the routine perfectly. I warm up for 5-8 minutes. Stretch for 6 minutes pretty hard (Could this be the problem). Jelq for about 10 - 12minutes (I do much less than the 200 strokes it asks for). Then I do 25-30 kegels while edging (I do this because it is easier to do a kegels while there is a lot of blood in the penis) and then warm down with a heating pad followed by a warm shower. If anyone thinks I’m doing something wrong please let me know so I can correct it. But could I be over training my unit. Or understanding it? Sheesh I have no clue lol. I keep thinking it has something to do with erection level and grip strength and how I should be gripping it.

One point is that when I was jelqing a few months back in July I would do it at a much harder erection. Maybe 70-80 and I used to get that flaccid hang but it seemed to come from there being a lot more blood in my penis even when not hard. I would even wake up with crazy hard erection. I stopped doing it at that erection level because from what I read it seems that a lower erection level is better and less likely to cause injury. But now I don’t have any positive indicators from my penis. I’m kinda scared it might be getting smaller.

If you read this entire essay, thank you. Any tips would be more than welcome.

Haha yeah you’re right. Heating pad seems to be working atm so I’ll stick with it. Maybe upgrade to a lamp later on.

Thank you for the detailed reply @crusherbrooks I unfortunately started using porn again here and there because sometimes I simply could not get erect. But I’m going to try no masturbation for a bit and see if that gives more control. Glad to know I’m at least average. Still doesn’t feel that way lol. I have definitely gotten better at kegels. Although I do them while edging because it feels much better and you can really squeeze the muscle and it’s a bit easier.

According to some veterans on this forum, if you’re experiencing a reduction in EQ/PIs, you’re usually overdoing it. I took that advice to heart a few days ago and I’ve been having the biggest morning wood ever the past few days. If you suspect the newbie routine *might* be too much, it probably is. If you think you’re just not feeling the full effect, you’re in the sweet spot. Take it down by 1/3 for a week and see what happens.

When I started, I also kept my non-jelqing hand gripped around my base to keep my unit harder for the jelq. It seemed a good method to assure jelqing EQ without porn, but after 2 weeks I got injured and had to stop for 2 weeks. Was your unit tingling at the tip, just under the head? That’s where mine tingled, I’d take a short break if I were you. After that, I read New Jelq City! and realized I can jelq at much lower EQ. Even though I didn’t feel the jelq, I just stuck with it for a week and then I got better at the low EQ technique and now I don’t use a different approach anymore. At the very worst it’s a stretch, right?
