Firm flaccid penis

zonqor,

I have had and still have similar symptoms as you describe. My penis was shriveled and extremely firm, cold and weak and aching. I had no morning or spontaneous erections for over a year. Sex and masturbation was not tempting at all as getting my penis erect was both hard, painful and depressing. And I was depressed.
First let me tell you the good news. Your condition probably will heal. My condition has gotten way better over time and last months I have had periods of time when my penis is normal. But then after a while it seems to be getting worse again. Still I´m slowly healing, I can feel it. From a cold rigid penis my penis has gotten back to a normal soft. From the last three weeks my penis has been normal and horny for 15 days. After that I´m again suffering from a bit of rigidness, coldness and aching. In the flaccid state the both corpora cavernosa chambers seem to be firm and erect in a weird way although my penis isn´t aroused at all. Instead its cold, shriveled and weak.
The bad news is that for me the healing took a long long time. I´m still suffering from a firm flaccid penis at times and I had my injury over 18 months ago.

For me the, I think, the healing began when I encouraged myself started to lightly jelq again with my member almost totally flaccid (maybe 6 weeks ago). I did this for 2-3 days and woke up with morning erection, after a 18 months break. Wow!. I think this is what really launched the healing process. But I am NOT a doctor. And the three urologist that saw me insisted that there was nothing wrong with me. I think they didn´t believe my symptoms and thought I was suffering from phsychological symptoms. For me the rigidness, aching and sometimes icecold penis was a lot more than phsycological. And once my penis started to have feeling again and the circulation was up again, I could remember how good sex could feel like. My best to you Zonqor and Mr. Nilsen.

@229233 & zonqor:

This just goes to show that you should NEVER NEVER give up on anything. Also experts are only experts on the areas they have studied, and certified dick experts are few on this planet.

Despite never experiencing pain as I already mentioned, my member seems to be kind of loose at the base, as if hanging by a thread sometimes. Has anyone got anything to say on this? I also get lots of little pulls and spasms in the perineal area. The underside of the penis seems to have what feels like a rigid ‘tendon’ either side of the corpus spongiosum.

I can’t trust any urologist that tries to tell me there is nothing wrong, which seems to happen to a lot of people here and has also been the case with me, but I’ve rarely encountered a medical consultant who wasn’t an arrogant pompous cunt, and they don’t like to be argued with..

I hope it,s not a condition that will get progressively worse god forbid.

Thanks.

Same thing with me Zonqor :( .
I too have been facing similar problems. It’s just about a month since this all began. I pray we get healed up soon buddy. I was planning to take L-Arginine. Any suggestions on this guys?

229,

How exactly did you injure yourself?
And did the fact that your knob was in this state for 18 months diminish it in any way? It’s been nearly five months now in my case, and I too notice that some days are better than others seemingly for no reason.

Unicorn, do you mean the looseness at the base or the firm dick thing? If it’s the latter then all I can offer that may help is to drink lots of water, this seems to keep it more soft. Massaging helps too.

I wish I knew what’s going on, It all happened in a second.

I’m also praying,
Cheers.

Zonqor,

Well I have yo admit I have only myself to blame for injuring myself. I was all too violent with my member after a longer pause of PE. I did extremely rough PE sessions in order to impress a new girl. Still I did not feel any pain during PE that time. I just noticed that my penis was weeker after my jelqing and very hard Ulis.

In the beginning I had poor or no erections. Erections without manual stimulation were impossible. But later on the warm feeling occasionally returned. And the latest development has been that sometimes, in the beginning for just 2-4 days and later from 1 week to 10 day periods, the penis has been somewhat normal. The weird thing is that my penis seems to suddenly totally relax. And after just a few hours It´s behaving normally. The difference is like between night and day. Still, if you would experience similar development, be prepared for setbacks. It´s hard to accept that your penis is shrinking and getting cold again after a few healthy and normal days. I´ve had maybe 5-6 of these healthy periods since july. They keep my spirit up. When just touching or kissing a girl makes you hard you know the healing has advanced.

For me I think massage helped in the beginning, but nowadays I think touching and fondling my penis just makes it more rigid. Taking total breaks from touching my dick often helps after a few days.

I have only done light jelqing with no erection a few times. And jelqing was hard because of the rigidity. The penis first responded by more rigidity (max 3 hours), but after a few days the morning erections improved clearly. In fact in was the first erection since easter 2006 that felt good. I then stopped jelqing and my penis was good and horny for a couple of days (I was on a trip). But then it shriveled again and the aching continued for maybe two weeks. After that it got better than ever during my injury, and completely without jelqing!! It was then good for maybe ten days or so. And then again it shriveled. I´m thinking my masturbation played a part in that….

Now it´s been cold or rigid for a week. I´m still waiting for it to heal itself again as I believe jelqing cannot be all too healthy as I think high blood pressure inside the penis is what causes the problem. I might be wrong though, but I´m thinking I´m going to give natural healing a chance.

One big problem for me is that when my dick suddenly feels normal I start to feel normal. And let me tell you after a long pause of sexuality, its really hard not to masturbate when it suddenly feels good. And it could be the reason why my condition often gets worse again.

A few things about the symptoms:

I think the weirdest thing are the spasms. I also have for the whole time experienced weird pc-spasms. Whenever my penis feels normal and healthy again, the need/urge for pc-spasm disappears. One theory I came up with was that the spasms temporarily increase blood pressure in the corpora cavernosa, and may affect these valve inlets?? But I still haven´t figured out why the spasms occur? They are really hard to control and they occur most often when I´m sitting.

Thank you for letting me share this

[both of you ] In my opinion the spasms are key. Please try and focus on them and describe exactly how they are affecting the condition. Are they more like involuntary fluttering? like a nervous twitch in the eye?

Well the spasms are like an involuntary attempt to lift up your testicles over and over again. During the contraction the blood pressure rises inside the corpora cavernosa. I think the most weird and at the same time most releafing fact is, that I know that my penis at times can function normally. And then there are times when it shrivels again. Go figure..

When i suffer from the firm flaccid symptoms (approx 60% of the time), at least for me it feels like the arteries would be trying to push blood into the penis. I think, and I might be imagining, that some pressure is built up close to the prostata. A reaction to this is the automatic spasm to either get the blood flowing onwards or just to release the pressure somehow. This is just my theory…But to give you the right picture, the symptoms are worst when the penis is totally flaccid. It seems no blood gets to the penis tip. Everything is instead packed in the firm corpora cavernosas near the root. It´s like the penis would somehow lock itself and not take any blood. That is why the problems of getting erection are worst in the beginning when the penis is as its smallest. There is a breaking point and after its passed the erections are close to normal. Of course if the penis has been cold the sensations are not so good. Massaging/bending the flaccid rigid penis helps to release the rigidness and get through the breaking point. It also allows the penis to take more blood and get erect. Still during the whole stage of getting to its full size the penis often feels quite hard all the time regardless of the current size. But this doesn´t occur during the healthy periods.

That’s very accurate,
Has anyone given you any reasons for this at all? The valve’s cutting off theory seems feasible but I really need something definitive. There is nothing on the net so how uncommon is this thing?

I don’t have any problem getting hard, the trouble is that unless I’m starting from a soft(normal) flaccid state I only get a very painful and rubbery 4 inch boner. Even when I do get close to normal It feels kinda numb.

Did you injure the penis itself 229, or around the base like me? And do you find that It’s soft(or near enough) when seated, and goes firm when standing up?

229233,

When the body experiences trauma, the muscles local to the traumatised area go into spasm. This is not normally a pulsating spasm, this is a permanent lock-down type clench. Usually, after the trauma has passed, the muscles relax again, but in some cases they can be quite stubborn. Sometimes, when the mind is relaxed the muscles that have locked try to let go. This can manifest as a pulsating or fluttering. So if this is what is happening in your case, then, it is not spasm, but actually the release of spasm or at least a fluctuation of the spasm level. One thing that works with certain types of spasm is to lie down when you next feel the spasms, and totally relax into them for 10 minuets.

I am basing all this on what I know from back massage, and it may not apply, but if it does, then the spasms that you feel might actually be a sign of healing. I am guessing that the clenching is stopping the blood flowing properly to the penis.

Thanks Marky,

In my case I probably meant flutterings and not spasms then..
I don’t think that these sensations are that serious an issue taken alone, I reckon that It may be just a feeling we are getting due to the blood not flowing through as freely as It should be, in fact it only happens when I try to induce a stiffy.
As 229 said, there seems to be a build up of blood/fluid in the perineal area just before the base which means that it feels clogged there, in fact a scan indicated ‘organising fluid’ and hematoma in my case.

If the flutterings are actually the symptom of a spasm attempting to release, then gently focusing on them might help this along. Especially if you think of them as your friend.

229, my conditions seem pretty similar to yours. Even I had suddenly started a 30 minute session instead of a 10 minute session. I was terribly upset to see my penis unable to respond. I had been away from PE exercises and was on a total rest with occasional warm packs and mild massage.
I have recently found signs of development but I will avoid any masturbation for some more time due to what you had experienced.
I would recommend drinking water (as Zonqor advised me in one of the previous posts) but also to cut down on smoking and get back to a healthy diet with lots of fruits and juices. I hopefully got good signs of development from ‘no signs of life’ and no morning wood to erect penis with regular morning wood.
If others are interested I will provide more details of the changes I had incorporated.
Hope everyone in the Injuries forum get healed soon.

A million thanks for avocet8 for guiding me through PM. His advice helped and comforted me big time as I was assured I have a Pro guiding me.:) (I am posting one of his advice so that it could possibly help others here)

Hats off to you avocet8. :)

Here’s the part of his message..

Smoking is the ultimate way to ruin your dick. It’s your life…

Erm hi I hope I’m not posting something stupid but here’s my two cents anyways..

I was wondering if you could be flexing your pelvic floor muscles (the ones you use in kegel exercises), involuntarily of course. Indeed I suffer CPPS (chronic pelvic pain syndrome) which according to some literature on the subject is caused by unconsciounsly contracting the pelvic muscles, resulting in loads of nasty symptoms. More to the subject : the flexing can be caused by various things such as high levels of stress, trauma and so on.. I have however noticed my penis - which tends to be quite hard even flaccid- softens up when I do relaxation exercises which I use to treat my symptoms. It also hardens up (and shrinks :( ) whenever I am nervous, stand up for a long period of time or after sex.

Well, you could try palpating you pelvic floor muscles to check how tense they are. If it happens your muscles are hard to some extent, maybe you could consider some sort of relaxation techniques.

If not, I hope you can get this problem solved.

Yours, dreamy-head.

sad_dreamer, very interesting, how successful are you with this method of treatment?
