Sebacious Prominence - Fordyce's spots White Coloured Spots

Does anyone have any methods to reduce or get rid of these if so please share any wisdom you have here to help others.

The only method I heard of is using Tretinoin Gel but here in England you can’t get it over the counter. Oh and I also my thumb finger nails to squeeze some out sometimes but that doesn’t really work if they have been there for a long time because the white stuff inside will of hardened up into a little ball. I heard people made little cuts to get them out before but I don’t fancy trying this.

You can try gradually wiping the top skin away by using a pumice stone. Use the back smooth side, and wipe the area when it is just slightly damp so that the skin is rubbed .

Do it very lightly , but don’t try to remove skin just let it become soft and they will gradually pop out without losing the under skin.

You can do the same on your ball sack if you have them there.

Don’t rub till it gets sore. You should hardly notice anything at first. The idea is to imitate normal skin wear.

Try using saliva rather than water. That contains enzyms which will be absorbed into the skin and soften the spots

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

Did this actually work?

I read wrestlas thread and it said 6 years ago you hadn’t tried it on your scrotum. It’s good you’re still active so you can comment. I have a few on my chest too that I can just notice, I guess I shall try this there first.

Thanks for the good answer, I’m pretty excited to try this.

Remember don’t go overboard on the pressure. Try it gently at first to see how your skin reacts. And just try it on a small area . Otherwise the wrong things might be excited :)

Did it actually work for you though? And can you get rid of some in one session or will it take lots of time, days weeks to get some out?

Having this current cyst type ingrown hair thing is having me think of these Fordyce spots again. After googling I read someone say:

”I have been able to get rid of Fordyce Spots by using Jojoba oil on the affected areas after showering every day. Results take a week or two.”

Think that could be true? Not heard anything about Jojoba oil before

I know this thread is old but does anyone know if that would actually work?
