Anybody on this forum have any experience with long term use of antipsychotic meds?

Thanks a lot for all the answers.
I am working a 9 to 5 and besides that I am a gym rat.

The thing that works way better than that is walking jogging running or leg exercises because your fixing Whats broken to start with.

So cialis everyday isn’t the long term solution, so sorry to hear that..

You might try L-Tryptophan as a sleep aid. It didn’t help my ED problem at all, but it was better than any sleeping pill I ever took. It turns out that’s a common side effect.

Physically, probably not. Your sexual development was done by the time you were 18. Mentally… libido/performance issues are common with antipsychotics and antidepressants. Four years of heavy use and then occasional use thereafter may have set some patterns that can be hard to break out of.

> I’m 29 now, suicidal thoughts are becoming part of my everyday life, working out and PE keeps them away.

> I went to several doctors, psychiatric and otherwise, it’s very hard and expensive to say the least.

That’s a difficult situation. I’m going to make an unjustified assumption, given how long you’ve been riding the mental health merry-go-round: there’s no obvious physical cause for your depression. So they tossed drugs at you for a while, you mostly got off of them, but you still have problems.

So, let’s approach the problem from a different angle. What do you do with your time besides being a gym rat?

I work a job I pretty much like and I am not only a gym rat, I work out outside and do not own a car so walking is all I do.
Thanks for answering my questions, I live a pretty healthy life style, I eat very good food fwiw.
I actually know someone who told me about L Tryptophan, never heard of it myself and have no experience with it, I’ll ask my doctor who prescribes me the seroquel about it. And I did get off these meds mostly, I only take them when I really want to sleep more and can’t.

I also drink coffee everyday. I tried black/green tea, they’re also pretty good, but without them my day would be emotionless.

The reason why I don’t want to go on with only ED medication is that it doesn’t do the trick if I’m not horny/not motivated to go through the day. I suspect that dopamine hits get me through the day only.

I already had a couple of ED episodes while on both sildenafil and tadalafil, it was horrifying..I lost control of my mind in that moment tbh, I can’t even remember what I was thinking about.

I am also a coffee lover, but I reduced my intake drastically for experimental purposes and it has done wonders for my anxiety level.

Therefore this is also something that could be considered.

I tried reducing my intake a few times myself, haven’t noticed anything worth mentioning, except being more anxious and less motivated to do anything.
I also tried drinking black/green tea only, no coffee in the morning, I found it would make me more anxious than it would normally do if I would drink it later in the day to replace my second cup of coffee.
I will reduce my intake again for experimental purposes starting tomorrow.

Alright cool, and how are you drinking the coffee?
I used a french press for a long time, years, and while arguably the tastiest method (imo) I researched a bit and theres higher absorption of the not so healthy cafestol into. The body leading to higher LDL levels.
I thus suggest filter coffee.

I wasn’t drinking filtered coffee. French press and I often drink Starbucks too, Wich I guess is filtered coffee, nonetheless, strong coffee there for some reason feels stronger than anything else.

On this note, I think I realized earlier what was my problem with refractory period being short even on sildenafil. I still don’t drink enough water, I had to read earlier some other post from someone on Reddit who was giving tips on what to take for a marathon fuck session. He mentioned drinking lots of water, gallon per day, for 2-3 days before the planned event, besides giving advice on taking 100mg sildenafil and 20-40mg caverjet, so I guess the guy knew what he was doing.

I already started raising my water intake, I have to drink more. Kingsnake was also drinking 9-10liters of water, Big Girtha as well, these guys were horny af.

The reason I ask is because I took 3-4 years everyday treatment with pretty large doses of Seroquel, everynight and sometimes they would switch my treatment to a quarter during the day and the rest before bedtime. I was 18-22 during this period and was having absolutely no sex, masturbating maybe once or twice every 2 weeks or so, sometimes less, going for 30 days of more with no masturbation.
How much do you guys think this could have affected my testosterone levels and any other important functions ?
I kept not having sex for years and years after that, I finally had sex for a brief period of time, maybe 3min or something, when I was 25 yo.
What supplement should work for me ?
I took these with no improvement:
Maca pills
Catuaba Bark pills
Ashwagandha pills
Tribulus pills
Citruline malate powder doesn’t seem to work for me
L-Tyrosine powder doesn’t seem to work for me
Taurine powder doesn’t seem to work for me
L Arginine + Citrulline pills
I take Vitamin E, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium, I put salt in water every morning, creatine, all of these are taken everyday except for creatine wich is cycled like the internet says it should be.
What pills worked for me so far with serious short-term improvement:
generic Sildenafil
generic Tadalafil
Should I be taking 10mg tadalafil for a year or two maybe everyday ?
Thoughts ??

None.

Taking this for this and this for that does not work with holistic medicine, and this is the reason why so many take the opportunity to discredit Naturopathic Medicine or to label it as quackery.

It doesn’t matter how many years you took those drugs, if you are out of them, you can easily recover from it. The recover is embedded in the software called DNA. There are specific instructions for every cell to constantly try to find its balance, as long as the right conditions are created. And those conditions is number one, the imperative one, essential nutrients. The raw materials. All 90 essential nutrients that every cell of your body needs every day and they are not available in the food anymore. 60 trace minerals, 16 vitamins, 12 amino acids and 2 fatty acids. Buying the cheapest synthetic versions of these nutrients at any store does not work. You need the best quality supplements made from natural sources and food, organic, certified non gmo together with a healthy diet.

Already around the time I should be making my second coffee and I am feeling very sleepy.

I’ve been having succes with PE lately, no more skin injuries, so I’ll just rely on it to keep me going for as long as it takes. When I succesfully do PE, the combination of good PIs I get and kegels I do make me feel healthier and I actually sleep pretty well when I am doing this because I am eager to wake up early in the morning and start again.

That said, coffee seems to limit me to the amount of cups/cups of black tea I drink per day. Daily use could have contributed to this, I need more to get the same effect I got from just one cup in the beginning.

So I plan on quitting coffee for a week or a month again soon, probably starting tomorrow.

I won’t drink any other tea either, and since my nicotine intake is also at an all time low in my life, I think I’ll probably eat and sleep more. I did this before, the only problem I had was that I was getting too much sleep during the day and was never feeling sleepy at night. I won’t take anymore seroquel/quetiapine either, so I am not sure how my mood will be. Hopefully, I will be able to remind myself often to be in control as much as I can.

Sildenafil and tadalafil though, they seem to work for days after like the medicine I was taking *antipsychotics*
I was asking questions to verify if there is another user who might have found supplements that work like them, or at least similar to them. I was hoping l-tyrosine would do the trick, but I am now searching for other supplements that could work like l-tyrosine. I can’t feel a thing from this one I bought, and it isn’t the cheapest I could find, it’s more like in the middle quality class of supplements here.

You got to be careful quitting coffee for a month.
One sip after that much time off will feel like cr*ck c*caine :D

I went off coffee once for about 6 months to see if it would improve my sleep. It did, but very little. The net benefit of drinking coffee was greater.

When someone says “making my second coffee and I am feeling very sleepy,” my first thought is sleep apnea.

I remember reading on your thread when you were off the caffeine, I was jealous and was also trying to myself.
I probably have sleep apnea as well, I have a deviated septum. I should’ve probably mentioned that, it might also play a role in my disfunctions, I guess.
I think I have it for more than 9 years now, from getting punched in the nose obviously.
But I don’t remember ever having a real trouble with snoring. I know I can’t fall asleep breathing through my mouth, but I’ve also been asking people during incarceration if I snore, usually someone who snores would be waken out of their sleep anyway, so I would’ve known without asking but I wanted to be sure. So for all I know, I rarely/mostly never snore when sleeping.

So quitting for a month isn’t such a good idea ?
How long should I be taking time off it then ? Fwiw, I started drinking coffee at 22yo, 7 years ago, I only stopped for a week a couple of times during these 7 years.

If you are healthy there are plenty of natural supplements that will replicate the effect of viagra or cialis. But first, you have to make sure trough proper diet and nutrients that your hormone production is on point.

Remember drugs like cialis and viagra were invented for people that are not healthy. Because ED is not a voodoo curse or a lottery. Is the consequence of bad health. Wether is chronic or cute.

This is big facts, also have to put effort into maintaining a certain mindset as cliche as it sounds.
