Anybody on this forum have any experience with long term use of antipsychotic meds?

Like the title says, that is my question.

The reason I ask is because I took 3-4 years everyday treatment with pretty large doses of Seroquel, everynight and sometimes they would switch my treatment to a quarter during the day and the rest before bedtime. I was 18-22 during this period and was having absolutely no sex, masturbating maybe once or twice every 2 weeks or so, sometimes less, going for 30 days of more with no masturbation.

How much do you guys think this could have affected my testosterone levels and any other important functions ?

I kept not having sex for years and years after that, I finally had sex for a brief period of time, maybe 3min or something, when I was 25 yo.

What supplement should work for me ?

I took these with no improvement:

Maca pills

Catuaba Bark pills

Ashwagandha pills

Tribulus pills

Citruline malate powder doesn’t seem to work for me

L-Tyrosine powder doesn’t seem to work for me

Taurine powder doesn’t seem to work for me

L Arginine + Citrulline pills

I take Vitamin E, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium, I put salt in water every morning, creatine, all of these are taken everyday except for creatine wich is cycled like the internet says it should be.

What pills worked for me so far with serious short-term improvement:

generic Sildenafil

generic Tadalafil

Should I be taking 10mg tadalafil for a year or two maybe everyday ?

Thoughts ??

The first post is too long so I will post this second, shorter version for the members around who don’t want to read too much:

I never had sex until I was 25 plus I took antipsychotic medication from 18-22yo, still take it ocasionally so that I can sleep properly. (antipsychotics lower dopamine) (I was taking large doses prescribed by a doctor, between 600-1200mg each day).

I was masturbating once every two weeks for the most part of that 18-22yo period, first time sex experience was short and lousy, like all the others I’ve had so far unfortunately(either ED or pre-e). I’m 29 now, suicidal thoughts are becoming part of my everyday life, working out and PE keeps them away..

Should I take tadalafil everyday for maybe a year or two to regain sexual appetite and EQ? (I already have the medication and use it only ocasionally)

Would that even work ? Is there a combination of drugs I should be taking for more dopamine and better EQ at the same time ?

Hey train spot!

Hope you’re doing well!!
Even though some other members in here may have had similar experiences than you with antipsychotics, I think it’s a good idea to ask your doctor because everybody is different. Maybe he would have other better options.

Stay safe!

About the doctor thing, I am in a country that’s different from England/Germany/America and more similar with Russia/Koreea/China without the technological development. I went to several doctors, psychiatric and otherwise, it’s very hard and expensive to say the least.

So if anybody wants to help, please do.

I posted this question on another forum too, I’ll post it on reddit as well, but not all reddit users are versed in the PE world like you guys here, so that’s why I’m asking here.

Asking a doctor and getting a full blood workup is a very smart idea.

I also want some more supplementing ideas.

I already mentioned what didn’t work for me, I need more supplements that worked for others to try. These are also expensive, more expensive than monthly supplying myself with generic sildenafil..sometimes I even wonder why I bother, it’s the fear that ED drugs have put into me not to get hooked on them..

I.e., would I suffer long term if I took daily doses of Cialis/tadalafil?

Has anybody experienced not being able to get erect again after taking it for a while ?

Hey thanks, but it’s not a possibility for me unfortunately.

I’m not doing well guys, I need some help, I cry and get worse by the day.

I just came back from the gym, had a good workout, ended with some serious lifting, 10 min of extreme sauna, I was feeling amazing. Now, 40-60 min after that, I started to feel like crying and desperately needing to punch something or whatever..I know many say do cardio do this and do that, I’ve been constantly working out for all my life, I do cardio and pretty much every type of training.

I just keep reminding myself of each and every loss I took with women so far, also with men getting beat up and such. I don’t know if the saying “time heals all wounds” is true, IME so far, time only makes it worse if not attended to in any form, like revenge or something, doing the same thing only with another person but better. But I am not sure it will help, things that happened, happened, and there isn’t anything to do about it for all I can tell.

So with universal healthcare in your country you can’t go to a doctor and instead try and treat yourself? That I do not understand and it won’t be good for your health but as all of us guys do you will do what you want.

No, I specified why, maybe you didn’t read my entire post.

You might try L-Tryptophan as a sleep aid. It didn’t help my ED problem at all, but it was better than any sleeping pill I ever took. It turns out that’s a common side effect.

Physically, probably not. Your sexual development was done by the time you were 18. Mentally… libido/performance issues are common with antipsychotics and antidepressants. Four years of heavy use and then occasional use thereafter may have set some patterns that can be hard to break out of.

That’s a difficult situation. I’m going to make an unjustified assumption, given how long you’ve been riding the mental health merry-go-round: there’s no obvious physical cause for your depression. So they tossed drugs at you for a while, you mostly got off of them, but you still have problems.

So, let’s approach the problem from a different angle. What do you do with your time besides being a gym rat?

You are 29, get off all pills and hit the gym, go for a run, contact old friends again, watch some Jordan Peterson, and set your self a goal of some sort.

I believe in you brother.

Wow i dont know how you functioned on serquel…i guess you really where trainspotting lol.

Look into Andy frisella and his 75 hard mental toughness program. It will 100% change your life for the better. There are countless success stories of people turning the life around with it. Another guy I follow is wim hoff. his program is based around ice baths and breathing techniques and works. I really like the breathing exercises for anxiety and pain relief. Exercising and ice baths are awesome for depression.

Cialis will definitely make you dependent on it. If youve taken it for more than 3 months expect a month to recover back to normal erections.

The thing that works way better than that is walking jogging running or leg exercises because your fixing Whats broken to start with.

Magnesium is good for sleep. My professor friend said get off seraqual. Evil drug. I’m down to 50mg some nights for sleep.

I was like you with bad thoughts. I hospitalised myself.
