Any updates with longer term boron supplementation? There isn’t a whole lot of info about use in humans (and what little exists is often somewhat contradictory), so anecdotal reports are helpful. This Reddit thread is interesting in that some lab results are provided. Of course, it’s only a sample of one.
My interest in boron supplementation is primarily for arthritis. I’m concerned that it also affects hormone levels because I don’t really want to screw with that. 4 years ago my total T was 695 ng/dL, which was surprisingly decent for my age. That was the only test done, nothing about free T, estradiol, SHBG, etc. Convincing the doctor to check total T was difficult enough.
I don’t know how much boron I get on average through my diet that varies at times from awful to fairly decent. I’m guessing not very much. I just ordered 100 3mg boron pills for $6 (Now brand from Amazon). That’s cheap enough for a trial. If boron is something I decide to continue I’ll probably buy a box of borax for a lifetime supply. I have a milligram scale and can do math.
