Do you think myostatin inhibitors will ever replace anabolic steroids?

Do you think myostatin inhibitors will ever replace anabolic steroids?

I’ve often wondered why myostatin is synthesized by our bodies at all. I mean, looking at it from a totally Darwinistic standpoint, wouldn’t the gene for a natural lack of myostatin be the dominant one? As a believer in the selfish gene theory, I don’t see how it wouldn’t. Nonetheless, I’m no expert (not even a self-proclaimed one) in genetics, hormones or supplements, but still I’d like some expert opinions on this. Being that a myostatin inhibitor would have almost nill negative side effects (as there are animals and people born without the ability to synthesize myostatin on their own and they are very healthy), do you forsee it ever replacing (the more dangerous) steroids?

Yes, but prolly not anytime soon.

Why is that? I’m like 99.9 percent sure they already produce one. Why wouldn’t people into bodybuilding give it a try?

I’m very sure that bodybuilders will try it when then can get their hands on it.

Growth without HTPA shutdown, liver problems, heart enlargement, etc…

It would be a dream.

Indeed it would … I had no idea it was an issue of market availability. I assumed there was at least one company that manufactured and mass-marketed it (as a type of BB supplement I mean). Being that there’s not, I’m given to presume that it is regulated (i.e. -considered a type of controlled substance)?

I wonder if someone took this, or other myostatin inhibitor, and what are the results.

That article seems too good to be true……

(article = sales pitch)
