finasteride?

Dusteride would work better. I think is like 90% effect at Blocking DHT. It actually blocks the 5ar in the skin as well.

I believe Shiver and Rocco use that.

Southpaw,
You can’t come close to the price of buying generic finasteride online in your local pharmacy. In the US, I don’t think there are generics available for that drug.

Jones,
Yeah, my dick has gone from 8x6 to micropenis after taking finasteride. Actually I’m still seeing gains, and would be 8x6 if I hadn’t intentionally been avoiding girth exercises since last year.

I’ve read articles stating that taking finasteride actually raises testosterone since it blocks the conversion to DHT. This is probably someone’s theory, so I’m not saying it’s fact.

As long as I don’t start having “problems”, or penis shrinkage, I’m going to keep taking it.

Since we are all about sharing our personal experiences, let me say that propecia has worked very well for me and has not compromised my dick’s growth. It’s been 6 years taking propecia and 3 years of active PE in which I’ve gained 2 1/4 inches in length and 2 inches in girth.

I’m happy with the success of both.

Peforeal

peforeal,

excellent gains there. If only you hadn’t been taking finasteride, you’d have much more. :p

peforeal, did you take propecia every day? I mean, was there ever a couple of days where you went of propecia becuase you forgot?

Mr jones and me..... Gonna be big stars

I’m more confused about this shit than I was before I started to read this thread.

Dont be, Finasteride doesnt block all DHT. I want these guys to go on Dusteride and wait 5 years.

By the way XXL, you have such PRETTY hair…lol

Cya

What makes it better, would it have less negative affects?

Finasteride started as a BPH treatment but as time went by, they found it helped with hair loss. The 5ar found in the prostate is type 2. Type 1 is the one that makes you loose your hair. Dutasteride will block both.

I would assume that the sexual side effects will be much increased but maybe not noticed until later. It is by far the best treatment for hair loss. Something like 90% success rate. This is a good way to find out exactly how much DHT is involved in human penile repair.

I was looking for more lab rats for a study on the effects of androgen deprivation in human penile structure. This study should be at least 5 years long since the lower doses of Dut.

If you would like to get involved, please dont block the aromatase so we can see the actual results of this.

drgmerlin—interesting question about finasteride. Dont rule out finasteride appearing as a solution someday. Minoxidil was first used to treat baldness topically by doing exactly what you describe: a pharmacist grinding up minoxidil tablets—the only waythey came—and dissolving them in alcohol.

Problematic issues with finasteride used as such:

—molecule size and polarity—big, polar molecues don’t like to cross biological membranes (thats why sugar needs an active transport mechanism in the form of insulin, for example). I don’t remember if finasteride is big (heavier than 150-200 g/mole) or polar.

—solubility—how soluble is finasteride in whatever vehicle you are considering? Your options are limited to biologically compatible solvents. In other words, finasteride may be very soluble in phenol or benzene, but I wouldn’t want to sprinkle that on my head.

—stability—how shelf stable is it? Minoxidil is luckily a very stable drug, good for a 5 year shelf life.

Jones8315—leave pharmacology to the pharmacologists, please.

No real problem my friend. Just trying to keep this place as civil as possible. Let everyone enjoy this place to the full extent is my motto. These T and E threads are hard enough to follow as it is for the vast majority of us. We don’t want any flaming or half-hearted flaming tainting up the threads that are difficult to grasp to begin with.

As long as we are well-behaved, we might learn something here on this forum. What I don’t really know, but something I guess? please feel free to continue discussing anything as long as it moves a thread forward and doesn’t bog it down.

L born XXL Buried, I appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter. Thank you! TT

“You see, I don’t want to do good things, I want to do great things.” ~Alexander Joseph Luthor

I know Lewd Ferrigno personally.

Think what you will about Jones or any other member, but there´s no need to be sarcastic, he do have some points.

We´ve been through this in other threads just recently. Fin increases both T and E, and it blocks DHT. I have over 5 years of personal experience with fin and hairloss, and I´m a active member of a hairlossforum.

Yes, I´m on internal dut right now, and experiments are being made with topical dutasteride atm, we´ll see how those turn out. That´s what I´d prefer to use.

Yes, people on fin (and probably on dut too) have made progress in PE but any way you look at it it´s not a good thing to take a drug orally that will affect the whole system when you only want it for your scalp. So unless you´re taking it to treat enlarged prostate you want to look for a topical at some point. DHT is a very powerful hormone, if you chose to ignore long term risks involved in blocking it in your whole system just because “Hey, it works right now, and I´m gaining too”, then that´s your choice and it will become your problem.

I don´t personally see ANY meaning in that. There´s just no point in not wanting to minimize sideeffects and potential long term damage. That would be like hanging from the roof in your dick, it´s your choice, but not the best one.

So give it a rest, DHT-blockers are NOT good for PE. They may not do damage to everyone who use them but the risk is much, much, greater than the chance of any benefit when it comes to your sexual health.

Southpaw,

we´re happy to have you on the board, you and the knowledge you hopefully can provide. Thanks for clearing my layman speculations about potential problems with topical fin out too.

Cya at 8,

appreciate your efforts.

Rocco:

1) You’re right, you were through with this topic in other threads recently. And exactly this is what is a bit annoying: that you hormone gurus start changing other threads to your topic and repeat your pseudo scientific arguments all over.

2) You’re saying “if you chose to ignore long term risks involved in blocking it in your whole system just because “Hey, it works right now, and I´m gaining too”, then that´s your choice and it will become your problem.” You’re the one taking the even more potent dut! And furthermore: Yes, it’s my choice,as my whole lifestyle is - but thanks for pointing this out. Hope you feel that responsible for yourself!

L born XXL buried,

excuse me, “you hormone gurus”? Who would that be? If it doesn´t interest you then don´t read it and don´t reply to it. The “pseudo scientific arguments” are based on scientifical studies.

Yes, I´m taking dut, as I´ve pointed out several time. The reason I point it out is because I´m not a hypocrit, I´m vain and I want my hair and I´m willing to take a calculated risk, that doesn´t mean I put my head in the sand about those risks. I chose to inform myself and I´m happy to be able to swap knowledge with the individuals on this forum.

If you have nothing constructive to add and you´re not even interested in the subject, even annoyed by it, then please don´t post in regard to it.

I can´t see why you´re so provoked by it anyway.
