I was going to try ginkgo but...

Without reading your links and based only on research I did that is now a few years old. Ginkgo acts as a blood thiner and anything that does so will increase the chance of a stroke. Not saying you shouldn’t consider this is your decision by any means just that even vit. E will increase the chance of a stroke and for the same reasons. You need to balance the increased chance of stroke against the benefits.

This study was on people over 84 years of age and was set up to establish whether ginkgo extract could delay cognitive impairment in the elderly, not stroke risk.

How old are you, again, noppli? Are you overweight, or obese?

I take a lot of supplements for medical purposes. I found this site which really helped me find the right stuff and how to keep my costs down instead of just wild shooting against the wall and seeing what hits.

Here is some interesting information on ginkgo biloba.

I’m wondering what drug company backed up the study in the first link.

I have questions:

1- did they bother to take these people off there blood pressure medications first?
2- Did they know that these people could be on blood thinning meds like aspirin.
3- What constitutes good health in an 85 year old person?
The study has holes.

Ginkgo takes 14 days to 6 months to work on a variety of disorders. Example I started taking Ginkgo about a year ago. I had 21 laser surgeries to correct blindness that did not work worth a shit. After a year of taking ginkgo I longer have to look at my computer screen with my right eye shut. Ginkgo helps to correct or block the damage of free radicals. Especially free radicals like MSG to destroy vision and brain cells. Ginkgo is useful for diabetics in vision and erection health.

I can see out of my right eye much better.

But I’d rather not increase any chance of stroke… I realize that this study was done on older folk, I wanted to get some feedback from others here on the forums. What I’m really after is trying to increase my really very bad circulation. As I mentioned in another thread, my feet and hands are like ice, and the head of my penis is sometimes the same way, and when it touches my leg, I’m like, jeez!

Gains: 0.25" x 0"

Horse Chestnut for circulation, especially in the legs. Ginkgo for micro circulation, especially in the extremeties and for sharpening vision and eliminating tinnitus.

Unless you have a blood clotting issue, that is where your blood does not clot well, I would not worry about stroke to much.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that strokes are a far greater risk for people with low blood pressure, whereas heart attacks are a greater concern if you have high blood pressure. So, if you already have low blood pressure gingko might not be the best thing to take as it would probably lower it even more, whereas if you have high blood pressure gingko would be ideal.

I stand ready for correction of course.

My blood pressure is normal, I am 20 after all.

Well then my sincere advice would be to take the gingko. I do myself and have absolutely no reservations about doing so (I’m also 20, with normal blood pressure). In about 25 years you might want to rethink the situation, but until such time don’t worry so much.

I would suggest a 60mg product like this:

The recommended dose is between 120mg to 240mg per day, split into 2 or 3 doses. You can start off at the minimum dose of 120mg by taking one capsule in the morning and one at night, or easily switch to a moderate 180mg dose by taking one at every meal. Give the ginkgo 2 to 4 weeks to start producing results.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I’ve also seen 120mg pills that suggest one a day with food. Any reason not to do this? Obviously I would prefer to not forget! =D

The only reason is that everything I have read about ginkgo is that it is best to spread out your daily dose into 2 or 3 portions. I think this just gives you a more even distribution of the benefits throughout the day and night. I pretty much eat all my meals at home, so this is not any trouble for me, but if you eat out a lot, this would be more of a challenge.
