Alcohol is a general systemic depressant. The active ingredient in “viagra” is designed to provide stimulation to the neural centers in the brain that may well be somewhat “drowsy” after hoisting a few.
Also, there are affects which have not been well documented about ETOH interaction with “viagra.” It is genbreally a safer policy to AVOID alcohol when taking ANY meds - although it is not a hard and fast rule.
The most prudent course of action, therefore, by most measures, should be to NOT drink and take the med. While ther may not be any negative affect/effect, it is better to err on the side of caution than err blindly.
Others may well disagree, and have different experiences - maybe even some have used booze and “viagra” with no negative affect/effect - but I personally would counsel against it. (I generally counsel against booze anyway [recovering alcoholic/addict], but to each their own …)
