falling asleep with generic viagra

Okay I have taken both real Viagra and the generic with no complications or side effects other than the flush face and heated skin if I dose over 50 mg.

I ordered generic viagra from sevenseaspharmacy.com and got a good price on it. Well everytime I take 50 mg within an hour I feel like I can just fall asleep. I know that sildenafil can lower blood pressure but if the dose high enough to make you tired.

Like I said, I have taken genuine and other brands of generic viagra without any sleepiness or even other side effect.

Do you think something may be wrong with the stuff I bought from sevenseas or do you think something is wrong with me?

For your information, my blood pressure has always been 120 over 80 but over the past few months since I started taking a statin for cholesterol and my blood pressure has dropped to about 113 over 74.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the combination of the meds is giving you the additional drowsiness. Why don’t you cut back your viagra dose to half = 25 mg and monitor results?. Twenty-five mg is all I need to get the job done.

Thanks peforeal for the advice. Generally when I take the “real” viagra I break the 50 mg tablets in half. The stuff is $10 a tablet so I take them sparingly. And I have never had a problems other than a rockin hard on. The generic I bought from sevenseas come with a split mark in them at the 50 mg point and I have been lazy in re-splitting them to 25 mg, but I will definately do that next time I take one.

Its really weird because it acts almost like a sleeping pill. I just take one and within an hour I am very sleepy. If I add a glass of wine to the combination then I am definately out cold. Really strange.

I found the generic viagra which I have ordered to be more potent than the “real” pfizer viagra. Although the viagra tastes bitter, I’ve learned to overcome that taste and just bite off a section of the 50 mg or 100 mg tablet as needed to the equivalent of a 25 mg dose. Because I chew it and let it dissolve under my tongue, the effects kick in within a few minutes for me.

I will have to try just chewing a smaller amount. I dont mind the taste, its bitter but it doesnt stay there too long so I can get over it pretty quick.

Just curious, but do you get hard at all or just tired? Sounds like if it works you could just tell the SO the reason you are going to go to sleep right after and have the best of both worlds. Sounds good to me.

I do get hard, very hard. But I have this almost uncontrollable urge to sleep. I thought when I first received this shipment that I was just tired that day but now maybe its because I take more of a dose than my body needs and/or my blood pressure is falling and that is making me tired.

I am going to try a 25 mg dose and see what happens next.

I got my 100mg pills from erectionshop.com and I dont’ feel tired, however after trying the real V, the generic takes more to get the job done. 100mg worked fine. I tried 25 and 50mg of the generic after trying 25mg of the “real” one and it didn’t work as well as the real deal. I couldn’t get off easy on the generic. The girl didn’t mind that though ;)

I always try to buy in bulk that’s why I bought 200 tablets from sevenseas. If the 25 mg dose works for me than I will buy from them again if not, I wouldnt.

I take it you don’t have any other type available right now to compare it to? When I used to use viagra I never noticed a difference between any of the particular brands I tried, but I believe that Indian generics can only be made if they use a difference process to the patented version (I don’t know why, it’s just what I read). That potentially could introduce differences in the end result. Maybe not all generics are the same?

Maybe try adding a 2-4mg Yohimbine to counter the blood pressure drop and see if it is BP related or not?

Does Yohimbine bring up blood pressure?

Yes, it does. I used it three years ago for a few months and found my blood pressure increased perilously. Fortunately, when I stopped taking it, all returned to normal. So you have to be careful and monitor your physical reactions if you use it.

Statins do not lower blood pressure. Perhaps your attention to cholesterol has caused you to change your diet and now you eat healthier foods and consume less salt.
