Proper Gut Function And Diet.

Proper Gut Function And Diet.

I am putting this here instead of “not covered elsewhere” because the following quote is from a specific supplement brochure.

From the TRUEHOPE brochure:

“Diarrhea, constipation, bowel inflammation, passing stool frequently throughout the day, loose or unformed stools, sudden early morning bowel movements with undigested food bits in them, and narrow worm-like stools are all signs that your digestive tract is not functioning properly.”

Well, okay, that sounds reasonable. But, what are the causes of these problems? I know that having the flu can cause them in the short term but I experience a lot of these symptoms several times / week and I have never thought much of it.

Might I have a food allergy? Any other thoughts?

Thanks!

It could also be a malfunctioning gall bladder ( been there done that, take meds for it now thank you). But yes, it is a sign and or symptom of a not well functioning digestive tract.

If you are having problems, my suggestion would be to talk to your doctor and explain what is going on. The next step will probably be to get some testing done, fun things like a lower GI, and a colonscopy. A ultrasound can be done to the gall bladder to see if a) you have stones, or b) if there is some other obstruction.

Does eating greasy foods seem to irritate more; or does not eating seem to set off a bout of the scoots?

Talk to your doctor PS, and life can be good again. For what its worth, I have to carefully monitor the amount of greasy food I eat or don’t get between me and the bathroom (sorta like pouring water through a funnel effect).

It has been that way for as long as I can remember and I have never thought much of it.

Yea, I will get it checked out.

I am not uncomfortable exactly. I am mostly just used to things looking different on different days.

Now, I am wondering if I have an allergy. I will need to start keeping a journal.

Thanks!

Anxiety induced and or aggravated ass problems:

People split hairs over the definitions all the time. IBD includes the colitis as well as the Chrone’s Disease which is even worse.

IBS is thought to be something quasi related by some to an adjunct or entry diagnosis.

The gall bladder is a part to examine as well as Sunny mentioned.

There is a drug that was for some type of addictions that works well for IBS, Colitis, Fibromyalgia, and MS. It is written off script and seems to have a respectable track record. Of course the name escapes me now.

There is work in the area of protease inhibitors and other areas that believes certain ass issues may have a vascular vector for treatment. MY GI doctor was impressed when I mentioned it to him, said he only heard about it two months before my last visit.

Variants of orthomolecular groups like to split hairs as well. Such as serotonin deficient, which some normal doctors agree with since people respond well often enough to SSRIs giving as an adjunct treatment. This is often stated due to the huge amount of serotonin in the digestive tract. Other variants of orthomolecular love theories of food and brain allergies as well. Finally some histamine proponents believe that certain polar ends of that spectrum, lend themselves well to solving various issues as well. Some theories often hint at stomach acidity issues that further complicate that as well.

TCM also lends solving the situation through its metaphor based system, which was written before the scientific method ever was even conceived. So acupuncture as well as Chinese Herbology seems to work well. often enough, it gets put into a liver/spleen disharmony issue. Your Chinese Liver is really your nervous system in Western thought.

Candida Free - Candida, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Colitis, yeast infections, thrush, sinusitis, leaky gut syndrome, nail fungus, chronic fatigue, crohn’s FMS Is the idea that a yeast from Hell drives you mad and nutty as well.

Other people believe that a gluten issue may be a cause or aggravates the situation.

I know Lewd Ferrigno personally.

Well first you need to determine exactly what and why you’re having these symptoms and then try something natural to bring your system into balance:)
The Doctor will most likely listen to your symptoms and then get you on pills that will basically suppress your symptoms without EVER even thinking of looking at what the true cause is.

I’d suggest getting some enzyme pills from GNC;)
That can help you digest food alot better as one reason for digestive/bowel problems is because your own body isn’t making enough enzymes…

I’ve had the exact symptoms you describe for over 6 years. I’ve seen countless doctors and they all said IBS, nothing that could be done - they said it was caused my the brain-gut system malfunctioning and my brain pushing my food through too fast - BULL-SHIT. I tried probiotics, prebiotics. Wheat particularly irritated me, but I’m not celiac, sugary things were bad too.

They’ve now discovered that IBS is often caused by bad bacteria in the small intestine. There should be a small amount of bacteria in the small intestine, with most of the guts bacteria in the large intestine. When bad bacteria (often E-Coli or C-Diff) gets into the small intestine it grows and multiplies crowding out the good bacteria causing the symptoms you describe.

I was cured by a relatively new antibiotic called Rifaximin, sold in the US as Xifaxan and in Europe as Zaxine. It doesn’t get absorbed into the bloodstream so it only works in the gut while it’s passing through. It’s not licensed for use in the UK, so I had to buy it off the internet. It took a 21 day course of 400mg 3times a day to cure me. I tried it twice before for shorter but it just came back. Google Rifaximin IBS - there are loads of forum posts from IBS sufferers who have been cured by this! I got a 21 day course from goldpharma for about £180, try a shorter dose before you spend all that to see if it works. Take probiotics and eat lots of yoghurt while you’re on it.

Hope this helps you, I wish I’d known about it years ago!

Get a good probiotic supplement. And don’t go to GNC to get it, though. Just do a search for Probiotic on any of those sites and you’ll find a bunch of them. I like NOW FOODS

Go to dpsnutrition.net, bodybuilding.com, or bulknutrition.com for buying supplements. Great prices and they ship pretty quick.

Or, you can google a brand (not sure if the above three carry it) called Rainbow Light. They have multivitmains along with a probiotic supplement. I have heard good things about that company.
