I have been doing this for quite a few years, and just want to share what works the best for me…..
I take my powdered V & C under the tongue. Absorption is quick, and I use smaller dosage (about 60mg v sub lingual is better than 100mg swallowed) for the same effect as swallowing the whole dose. I also no longer worry about spillage of the product. And the stash lasts much longer.
Before traveling, I use a small carat/gram scale I picked up off of ebay to fill empty capsules from a health food store. I stick a few in my niacin bottle. I put 200mg in each cap. When I need a dose, I shake it all to one side of the cap, remove the other end, shake about a third into the other side, and dump that under my tongue, and re-cap. I have found that the control of the dosage is much better than the liquid route. I do about 10 at a time and that lasts me a good while with the V. For the C, 1 dose every 3-4 days, I just leave it powdered, and measure out 15mg instead of 20 and dump it under my tongue. All the powder is double zip locked, and out of the way.
The scale more than pays for itself on the first go around. Also, with the scale you can make sure that you got what you ordered. If they shipped you 4G instead of 5G, you will be mixing a diluted batch and not know it. And vice versa.
I really didn’t like the way that the liquid dose was dependent on how fast you were at getting the dropper in the bottle after shaking (fighting gravity). The liquid is probably a little more convenient if you don’t have to worry about moving around much.
I also don’t like the waste film that forms inside the bottle and dropper or the fact that the liquid looks a little squirrelly after sitting in the trunk in the Florida sun for a few days. Also as mentioned in posts above, it does seem to get more concentrated towards the end of the bottle.
Keep up the good wood work…..
