Supplements

I have been using Tribulus every day for over a month & a half. One side effect I’m fairly confident of is my hair growth is faster & thicker.

I suspect 2 other side effects that have occurred but won’t comment yet because there so mild it could just be placebo effect.

I plan on cycling Tribulus (750mg), 3 weeks on 1 week off & combining it with L-Arginine (1500mg) & Hawthorn Berry (900mg).

Does anyone know if combining Tribulus L-Arginine & Hawthorn Berry could produce any dangerous side effects?

What is Hawthorn Berry for?

Reasons why I plan on using it:

1. Strengthens blood vessels
2. Improves blood flow

Thanks.

I have a question,

I have been taking a Tribulus brand named Balance which claims to have 20g of Tribulus per tablet yet the tablets are slightly smaller than another brand I bought that only has 2g of Tribulus.

Is this possible or is has some kind of mistake been made?

If you belive you can achive, just look at me - Tupac Shakar

I think something is missing here.

I have seen some tribulus product labels which say 500mg to 750mg

of tribulus extract standardised to 20% to 45% steroidal saponins.

Which is the other brand with 2g are you using?

The first one is Balance branded Tribulus.

The second is Cybergenics RFX.

The pills from both brands are clear & look like they both contain the same powdery substance.

The first one has 20g of tribulus powder in 60 capsules which means each capsule is ~333mg.

Both the products are not mentioning anything about the active ingredient(s) in %.

You said that you are using the first brand. Does it mention the supplement facts and the dosage information?

Any suplement is supposed to mention the supplement facts along with the usage instructions.

IMHO, I wouldn’t buy such supplements if I’m missing such information on the product labels.

Here is a good article on the tribuls terestris.

Balance Tribulus 20,000

Ingredients: Each Capsule Provides;
Herbal Extract Equiv. To Dry;
Tribulus Terrestris Whole Plant 20g

This seems to suggest each capsule contains 20g of Tribulus.

Cybergenics RFX
Each capsule contains:
Herbs extracts equivalent to dry
Tribulus terrestris fruit 800mg
Tribulus terrestris root 1.2g(1200mg)

Both state usage instructions but the Cybergentics is more precise, it even recommends cycling.

I give it a read, thanks.

But I’m still wondering if if 20g of Tribulus could be concentrated into one tablet?

Here, we can NOT determine the quantity of saponins and hence we can not know how concentrated it is.
I would stick with the product usage instructions in your case.

The is the first time I’m coming across such formulation of TT. If you do some research on TT over internet you will know that TT is formulated against active ingredients in % as I mentioned previously. Where as a few other herbs like Tongkat Ali is generally formulated with ratios like 20:1, 100:1, 200:1, etc.

How about this brand vitroman which consist of main ingredient is butea supra

The website is http://www.vitroman.com

I have post this in my thread How Is Maca, but I think it is still nessesary to repost it here, because it is my real experience about yuhombe.

Yuhombe, I tried before but rusult in a very high level of triglyceride! only one month dosage, bring me a 6.8 TG( I forgot the unit, the normal is lower than 1.7!). So I stop taking it and one month later, the TG decreased to 3.1, and then after another month, it decresed to 2.~ ( can’t remember the exact number). So the yuhombe is really terrible, at least to me! Maybe, that was not the fault of yihombe, but who can explain this to me? So be careful with it!

is this limited to herbs? what about 6-oxo?

i’ve done 4 cycles of trib and 4 cycles of 6-oxo and the 6-oxo is much more potent. though as an estrogen inhibitor 6-oxo might also help combat increased estrogen from trib if used together.

Martin how would Tribulus help hair growth?
