Good morning guys;

I’ve just received my order of tongkat ali, it are capsules of 400mg each, 50:1 extract.

The “recommended” dosage I can read on the recipient is 8 capsules per day… as I was expected to take one per day, no more than two, hehehe.

If somebody has some experience with tongkat ali, which dosage have you used and considered effective?

It’s different for everyone I believe. Start off at a very small dose and see what works. I’ve had best results taking 200mg of 50:1 2x a day. Your mileage will vary. When experimenting with dosage try to allow yourself 3 days to see how it’s working. If not enough then up the dosage.

I have been using Tonkat Ali extract 1:50 4g/day since September over 2months now), it is very bitter, it give nausea if you don’t eat immediately afterwards, it makes you shit substantially, I must have lost a couple of kgs(which is fine), but I have noticed no difference what soever in either function or physionomy, I’ll certainly finish what I have left, but by end December if I see no results, I won’t order it again, it seems to be a load of bollox up to now.

Has anyone had a different experience?

I take 3 per day, one with each meal. 20 days on and 10 days off. I think it helps my libido, but it is a subtle effect.

My experience wasn’t worth my re-ordering. As gprent, maybe a “subtle” effect.

MacLupo, you say you lost of couple of kgs while taking Tongkat Ali. Did you change your diet or exercise pattern during that time?

I’m taking 1’2 g per day (3 capsules) and I’ve also suppressed finasteride, and I’m experiencing quite good effects, probably due the combination “TA / no FS”. In the early mornings I wake up with my dick hard as a rock, and I really don’t remember when was the last time it happened. Also feel more aggressiveness and more sexual desire. I don’t know if this would happen only with TA.

That’s TA allright I’d say. Stopping the Finasteride no doubt contibutes though. Remember to cycle Tongkat Ali, I’d recommend an on-off cycle, you’ll have to see what works for you. I usually do a 4 days on, 3 off but your mileage may vary.

I’m doing 5/2 cycle because I’m training from monday till friday, and it helps me to get some energy.
