Turmeric for reduced edema?

Turmeric for reduced edema?

Hey y’all!
I take turmeric now more regularly than ever in my life, I’m in my early to mid 40s. Since taking it I have found that when I pump I have quite reduced edema and when I do have some it goes away really fast. I have not gotten edema really bad or regularly for the last 2 years of pumping, but over the last about 6 weeks I have found that chances for what would have normally been a few hours of edema are greatly reduced when I take turmeric prior to pumping and most likely afterwards.

Anyone find similar uses or benefits from turmeric? I’m curious about this common curry component :)

I used Turmeric to reduce joint pain and inflammation. Can’t say it’s had any benefit in reducing or preventing edema .
The most effective way I’ve found to reduce edema is to wrap the area fairly snug with Tender tape after your pump or hang session, and then install a Girth Band or section of silicon sleeve over the area for 20-30 minutes.

I take turmeric daily to reduce joint pain and I still get the same amount of edema as I always did.

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

Interesting! It could just be random for me and low or no edema might be related to god knows what and not be related to turmeric. But if I don’t take it, I get edema. I will do more work on this, thanks for responding!

Starting length, Spring 2003: bpel 6 3/8", bpfsl ~6 1/2", flaccid ~3-4" (never measured flaccid stretched or hanging flaccid; starting girth was probably ~5"-5 1/4")

Summer 2004: bpel 7 7/8", bpfsl 8 1/8", flaccid ~4", erect girth 5.3"

Spring 2018: bpel 7 1/4", bpfsl 7 5/8", erect girth 5 1/8"; Spring 2020: bpel 7 3/4", bpfsl 8", erect girth 5 3/8". Current - August 2023: bpel 7 3/4", bpfsl 8", erect girth mid shaft 5 1/4" (5 1/2" at base)

The active ingredient in turmeric is circumin which does reduce inflammation, but swelling and inflammation is a part of the building process (just like if you take a bunch of O3 oils and reduce the Omega 6’es you won’t see much muscle building from workouts because the inflammation from Omega 6 fatty acids is what sparks the recovery and growth process). HEAT also induces in inflammation like response and is important with PE. You wouldn’t go dip your cock in an ice bath after a workout. I have switched from iced showers to hot showers in the past year after hearing about the benefits and all of my joint and bone pains, for the most part, have gone away. Inflammation is part of the growth process so don’t be too worried about it.

As a big picture example, in asian cultures because they get so many omega 3’s in their diet they usually are more slender with less musculature. I believe the lack of omega 6’s are a part of the problem. Ori Hofmekler talks about this in his book Maximum Muscle Minimum Fat.
