IPL Laser hair removal at home device

Hiya chaps. I don’t usually post in this section, but I thought I should, for this. I regularly trim my leg hair, butt cheek/crack hair and pubic hair and arm hairs every 3-4 weeks. My hair tends to be quite course and wiry in general, but I’ve noticed a slight increase in courseness and density towards the age of 30. My chest hair has also increased and I’ve noticed some hairs growing up on my shoulders and towards my back, which is NOT cool. My stomach and the area between my chest and stomach are also starting to get more random hairs, essentially “joining up” those two areas. Time to do something about it! After researching over the years but not having the money to spare, I decided to take the plunge and buy an “at home” IPL laser hair removal device. I found one on eBay refurbished for £200 and decided it was a worthwhile investment. It is a “Phillips Lumea Adanced IPL device”.

A lot of the stuff I’ve read say that this is a “semi permanent” treatment, which does reduce hair, but not as much as a salon laser. That’ll do for me! I think after using something like this for a year, it will have a permanent effect. I am too embarrassed to go somewhere as vain as a salon so I am going to do it with this device and in my own time.

I will use it on my legs, arms, chest and any elsewhere I notice but those are the main areas. I feel pretty vain but I try to think of it as a modern day razor blade.

Let us know if you get it and how it works. I’ve been looking for a good solution too - as I get older I find more random hair popping up where I don’t want it.

would also like to know if this worked. also if anyone has tips or methods of removing hairs on the shaft of the penis (besides plucking or waxing) that would be super helpful. I have a pretty hairy dick so if I don’t pluck it gets sharp and uncomfortable for the lady (and also gets in the way of masturbation/pumping too!). quite annoying.

I have been using Tria device around the pubic area, I think it will be my 5th round. I am at the point where I am only shaving just before the biweekly treatment. Having never even shaved there before it was quite an adjustment, but I have no regrets, great for pumping and stretchy rings which I used to avoid.

I have been using IPL for about 2 months my self and it works! I just bought Black UV Dye to make it even more effective. So if anyone is interested I would go for it.

A quick update to this. I find it does work, but it can be quite tedious as the laser will only fire every 3 seconds. It is especially tedious on areas like my thighs, which are pretty large despite my overall slim build. Also it seems that some of my hairs are so dark, course, densely populated and spiky that even after using it weekly for several months they haven’t “got the message” and keep growing back over and over, if slightly less course. I’ve found this on my chest area as well. Some hairs it will zap leaving smoking ruins yet other more courser hairs it seems to have little to no effect on.

Overall I would say the device is great as it will certainly reduce the mess when hair trimming even if it doesn’t make them go away completely. But it would be good if there was a way to hack it so that the laser would fire repeatedly instead of only every 3 seconds. And it does seem a bit hit and miss as to what types of hairs it works on.

Is there any effect on the skin?

It does seem to get a bit sore if you zap an area several times over, albeit temporarily, but that is all. I have attached an image of the types of hairs that seem stubborn. Recently I have been getting hairs grow on the inside of my forearms which looks quite disturbing to begin with as in my 20s I never used to have hairs there. This area has already been treated several times, in some ways it seems as though it makes some hairs grow back stronger.

I’m talking to my dermatologist next week about laser hair removal on the underside of my penis and around the base where it grows up a little bit. Anyone have success using at-home laser devices on their cock??? I figured I’d ask the pros. I can’t wait to get these tiny hairs off my cock, my wife’s vagina is more sensitive now after menopause and I irritate her a bit while thrusting.

Well, I chickened out today on asking my dermatologist about their laser hair removal services. There was a new nurse that takes notes for my doctor and she was a little too fucking cute for me to feel comfortable like I normally do, and my doctor was also a little less loose with the paper gown and her groin check for lymph node swelling and also penis check for moles, etc.. I’m used to an older lady who’s a sweetheart and made me always feel comfortable. But this new nurse, young and pretty eyes, I couldn’t bring it up! I’m so down now, I waited so long. Maybe I just ask for a consultation and go in fresh.
Or buy an at home device.
Or keep plucking and deal with ingrown hairs.
Advice anyone?

Has anyone zapped their cock with a laser for hair removal??

Yes I use an IPL (not laser) It has been over a year and the hair is still thinner. I think I only did 6 sessions, I even went right over the butthole. I got an off brand unit from Amazon for $40 It has 5 heat settings. I used setting 3 around my anus and balls and was able to use 5 on the shaft and above.

I’ve actually been getting laser hair removal on my junk and ass over the last year and it really works but not all hair is growing at the same time so you have to go in every 8 weeks to kill the hair that is currently growing. I’ve been considering getting an IPL device for when I’m done if I need touch ups every now and then. Which is the best for sensitive areas?

Since the thread is old I guess it’s fair to ask if anyone had success with IPL epilators

I’m eyeing one (brand is called Megelin) and frankly even if it doesn’t remove the hair completely but only thins them out it would already be good for me since I’d use it mainly on inner thighs and (sadly) shoulders. Is 200 dollaridoos too cheap for an IPL to be a good one? Edit: also, if anyone got burns, what power (in J) were you using?
