Nothing like a man that smells good

This has nothing to do with anything really. I just recently started working again (BOO!!!). I work at a hotel. I don’t work at the first desk but found myself creeping to the front desk to check out the men coming in (married women can look). ;) And the most overwhelming thing that stuck with me is how great the men smelled. Especially the front desk guy. He is gay and I hit it off with him immediately (seeming we have a lot in common ;) ) Anyway, he laid his head on my shoulder, (because with heels I am taller than him), and I smelled his cologne and I kept thinking it’s a shame he is gay. And of course that I am married. hehehe. Okay, I am going on and on to say, a guy who smells good gets extra points with me.

(I know, blah, blah, blah)

Yeah? What cologne? Can you ask him!? Hahahah =) Hey only tell me :P

I’ve heard women say that they don’t like really sweet cologne or too much of any cologn (too strong).
Now, I wish I new what they DO like—everything I’ve tried on for my wife she seems to hate, so I don’t wear anything—well cologn anyways.LOL! Suggestions, anyone?

Oh, but one thing I have heard women say, wife definitely included, that they just LOVE the combination of a man’s natural scent mixed with a little scented deodorant, under his arms. Not if he’s really stinky and unbathed, just a little perspiration and a little deodorant in the right proportions. I’m the same way about a woman’s scent—is it phenemerones, maybe?? Comments?

Of course, too much is just that. You want to be subtle. I am not too fond of musk but I do like many colognes out there. Cool Water for men was one of my favorites for a long time. I guess it depends on the man and his age on what he likes. Plus, fragrances smell different from man to man. Intuition is another that smells nice to me. I guess the older one gets the less one cares about fragrance etc. but I still think the little dabs here and there are very nice. I think a man or a woman should wear just enough to please their senses. Anything beyond that will be too much. I am talking mainly from my likes. All people are different and will forever have ideal and desires different from another. I just want to go on record for saying that a little cologne goes a long way.

And certain deordorants are nice with a man’s natural smell. Though my husband insist on wearing my secret. I think I had a conversation with sunshine about this before. All depends on the person.

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

LOL…I have to ask. When I smelled him I could only say..”Man, you smell good”. I think I caught him off guard because all he did was smile. Do you wear cologne??

cologn

My Dad used to use Right Guard. Until my Mom got some Secret. Then that’s all he would use for years because he said it worked better!

I have heard that women have a better sense of smell—that is, can detect at least certain smells from a farther distance than men. Maybe that’s why you see so many women cross their eyes and almost barf when certain men walk by, *proud* of their new cologn  LOL!! Seriously, it seems like most men haven’t seemed to catch on that women can often smell their cologn a mile away! Can’t talk to much though. I like many men tend to subscribe to the “If a little is good, a lot must be better” theory concerning most things.

LOL.. A little goes a long way sometimes. Even when you wear something and yoiu can’t smell it anymore, others can. Especially since it can get into your clothes and sit there a while. Just like the guy who laid his head on my shoulder. His cologne was not that strong, but just by that innocent contact, I suddenly smelled his cologne on myself for the next few hours.

***Secret is really good. Everyone in my house uses it.***

anna nimity: loll yeah good.

I have Hugo Boss, after shave only. Secret? Is that for women only?

Hugo does seem to be popular. I am not sure if I have ever smelled it. Some woman my husband use to work with bought him some awful smelling stuff for x-mas that he liked to wear. It made my stomach turn each time he wore it. It subsequently disappeared mysteriously and he hasn’t worn much cologne since.

Yes, Secret is for women but it works just as well for men. My husband has sensitive skin and he prefers secret over others. We tried Dove at one time and it just didn’t do the trick. He grew up using some seven day stuff, but I am not sure of the name of it at the moment. I live by Secret. Matter of fact, since I have known him he has worn my deodorant. (Maybe he is too cheap to buy his own..LOL).

Yes Anna, at one point in time we had a conversation about this.

Now, I like it when a guy smells good. I have my preferences on cologne for men, Aramis is my all time favorite, then comes Stetson, and then Polo Sport (not for all guys, but I had a prof in college who wore that one :o ) I actually like Old Spice as well. I like a bit of a musky scent, but some guys carry that one tooooooooooo far

What I don’t care for is the natural musky odor mixed with: gasoline, kerosene, transmission fluid, oil, you get the picture.

Each person is going to smell different, even tho they have the same scent on. It is caused by body chemistry. I can’t wear certian perfumes because they react with my body and I end up smelling like a skunk YUCK OH! So, I have 2 perfumes that I wear and they are both based on natural musk. For the record, I wear Aviance Night Musk by Prince Machebelli and Channel #5. There is one by Avon that I can wear on occassion and for the life of me I can’t remember its name, it comes in a red bottle :) Once a person finds the right scent and their partner likes it, stay with it.

sunny A day without sunshine is like a day without laughter :sun:

I think some women mistake deodorant for cologne. I was at a bar and two girls asked me what cologne is was wearing. The last time I wore cologne was in high school.

Am I being naive here? Was that a cheesy pickup line or a legitimate mistake?

Or both?

Sounds like the former to me. Suprised you didn’t try to find out. But I remember back to when I was young and naive and women basicaly had to say something like ‘I want sex now’ before I understood what they where on about.

In terms of fragrances, I don’t think theres anything to beat the smell of tobacco :) Of course it has to be reapplied every half hour for full effect.

What woman can fail to fall for a man when he flicks a brown smile in her direction and the glorious smell of of fermented smoke from the car on the way over hits her.

To my mind, there are few better things. Mix that with a couple of bottles of fortified wine and wait for the women to stop dead in their tracks as they trip over your supine body whilst trying to navigate the sidewalk.

LOL Memento!

That was funny.

Don’t mean to barge in on the conversation but I always get winks and smiles when I wear Obsession or Eternity. They are my favs to date………

~STRYKE~

Go for the GOALd!

My girlfriend tells me that my smell drove her crazy before we were going out….

I don’t wear much in the way of deoderant…. strong pheromones??

LoL

:D

Memento,

I must say I left it there. Do you have to act on everything?
