Hey,

If you are experiencing withdrawal like symptoms then I would bring down the dosage slowly while taking supplements to help deal with your stress/anxiety.

Read the book - Spark By John J. Ratey
- It talks about relieving anxiety through a specific type of training routine.

Potential Read - It Starts With Food By Dallas Hartwig & Melissa Hartwig
- Root causes of today’s health issues is normally from what you eat and how you eat it.

Supplements
- 5-HTP (Can be stacked with L-Tyrosine to increase effectiveness)
- Ashwagandha
- GABA
- Rhodiola

When it comes to supplementation, you obviously need to research about them and through trial and error you will find what works best for you. I own and manage a health food store here in Toronto but again do your research. Conclusion is that the medication that you are on is the cause of your issues. People should not be prescribed a “PILL” for today’s health issues and I’m a big believer in that. I also included another book that you can potentially might want to get. Anyways brother, good luck

Current: BPEL - (Before 6.8' - 7') (Now 7' - 7.25')

Current: MSEG - 4.80' - 5.2'

Goal: 9x6

I was considering Ginkgo Biloba or Ginseng as the benefits sound like they could help my problems, then I read they shouldn’t be taken with paxil.

You don’t need to smoke it. I certainly would only ever smoke something as a last resort, but they make the active ingredients soluble with oil or butter and make food with it for the same effects, except that it’s more gradual and longer lasting. I have friends who swear by it.

One thing that can help is exercise. I don’t know if it’s just weight lifting or exercise in general, but it boosts testosterone

Keep at it for some time and your whole body will improve

You’ll get an erection in no time

Yes, that’s a true one.

Another simple thing is to have a lot of physical activity outdoors, especially with sunshine.
And if sunshine is not available, a solarium visit lightens the mood too.

Certainly not as effective as psychopharmaceutical drugs, but I think anything helps in order to reduce the dosage of the psycho drugs.

I concur.

Along the same lines I have run into issues with a combination of Effexor and Xanax. Sex drive remains intact, but ejaculation borders on the impossible. Off the meds ejaculation returns to normal, but anxiety hits like a Mack truck. New to the forum, hoping someone has experience overcoming similar. Have swapped meds multiple times, but the Effex and Xan are the only which have proved effective.

During sex the first few minutes are promising, but there is no little to no build towards climax, and eventually the sensitivity and then erection begin to fade.

I think the stepping diwn of Paxil is the road to go. But only with approval of your psychiatrist. Talk with him about the exact way to do it.

It’s all about finding a balance between the desired effects against anxiety and panic attacks versus the need for a fulfilling sex life.

And have a talk too about alternatives to the drugs. Maybe working on the root cause of the anxiety by doing counseling sessions (yes, a big investment in time) is, on the long run, more efficient than just eliminating the symptoms through drugs.

Besides that, I support all voices of getting a more sports and outdoors oriented life. Will not work on short term, but will be very lasting on the long term perspective.

@Ilovetacos

I am in the same situation that you were 4 years ago. It would be very helpful if you explained to me if something has helped you improve your libido since then, please I need help, I’m 25.

Thanks in advance.

I don’t want to derail this very informative thread, but I’m wondering if anyone suffering here has had long term porn use?

I had very similar symptoms and for ME, I found that I essentially had an addiction to sexual arousal stemming from 30+ years of porn use. Since I actually began with magazines (I’m 43), I really just got into the new “digital porn” in the past 10-15 years. The limitless novelty and everything attending to the high quality porn of today ruined my erections and sleep cycles. Although my drive was still high, I was chronically depressed and experiencing sleep disorders and erectile issues.

PM me if anyone wants to chat, as I don’t want to intrude further, but learning to leave porn has been far more fruitful than I could have imagined.

BPEL 6-3/4" MEG 5-1/4" on 8-2021. Goal: 7-3/4" to 8"BPEL x 5-1/2" MEG

5'-11" and 190# and working back down to decent ab definition. I expect this around 178#.

But my problem is that I don’t have libido, I don’t want to watch porn or fap. Really hot girls has interested in me and for me IS really embarrassing not feeling this sex Drive and quickly erection that I used to feel and have.
