Anyone here have HPV?

Since I wasted almost all my money on my horrible doctor visit I can only rely on the internet. Which isn’t too helpful in diagnosing since everything mocks the symptoms of everything else! I’ll upload a picture later. I’ve been all over the net looking at pictures of penises and reading up on STDs only to fall short of a list of assumptions of what I could have.

I have a red dot on my foreskin. Not raised and it is the size of a pencil eraser. Doesn’t itch, doesn’t bleed and no pain. However I need to add this. The red dot does is only red after I finish my PE routine. It has been on my penis since the end of December. And it won’t go away.

I assume its HPV but won’t know till I get money to go get a STD test. So if anyone has any info on what HPV looks like in its early stages let me know.

I just asked my friend who is in the medical field, he says there really isn’t a test to determine if a man has HPV or not. Although for women, they have two test that determine rather or not they have the STD. Sometimes it just sucks being a guy. We don’t have symptoms of anything unless its syphilis or some shit.

Could it not simply be a popped vessel from PE? That would match the description pretty well.

It could be. But don’t they heal quickly?

Naked Tomato, I thought I had HPV for about eight years. I had a break out and the doctor told me what was on my cock were warts. There are various methods for removing warts, and I can address those if you truly have HPV. Your friend isn’t 100% correct, though. There is a test for HPV for men. The doctor needs to do a biopsy of the growth in question. Like I mentioned above, I thought I had HPV for eight years. How do I know I don’t have it? Because one day I went to the doctor and had her do a biopsy (which is what I should have done in the first place). Low-and-behold it wasn’t HPV (it was something called molluscum - not an STD). Even if it is HPV it isn’t the end of the fucking world. I thought it was and it absolutely wasn’t. No matter the outcome you are going to be okay. Trust me, you read this shit on the Internet! (so it’s got to be true)

The last doctor I went to just looked at my junk and assumed it was HPV. She wouldnt do a biopsy because she assumed she was right. It isn’t a growth.

I’m not a doctor - not even close - but I would be hesitant to let anyone ASSUME that I have an STD without knowing for G** damn fact that it was an STD. My advice is that you go to a dermatologist and ask him/her to do a biopsy. That’s the type of doctor who did mine.

Well I can’t go till I get money. The last doctor I went to cost me $250 just to assume something.

Mostly, yes. But if you’re repeatedly doing the same thing that caused it in the first place, you may just be “renewing” it every time you PE. Given that it gets inflamed every time you do your exercises, I’d try taking a week off from anything that increases pressure in your blood vessels beyond a normal erection and see what happens.
They usually heal in 5-6 days for me.

I think the presence of HPV in the body can be detected through sperm analysis also?

If that’s the case then it’s news to me. Besides the test I mentioned the only other thing I can think of is if the women Naked Tomato had slept with all have normal Pap smears then it’s logical to deduce that he doesn’t have HPV.

…there are no FDA-approved tests for general screening in the United States[25] or tests approved by the Canadian government,[125] since the testing is inconclusive and considered medically unnecessary.[126]

I won’t argue with the above statement. All I’m offering is my personal experience where I was told I had genital warts and then a biopsy revealed it wasn’t a wart. Also, my previous ex-girlfriends who I had unprotected sex with all have normal Paps. I know other people who have gotten false-positive STD tests.

Naked Tomato, in addition to getting a second opinion I would demand a biopsy.

Actually, what I posted is in agreement with what you are saying. :)

This is interesting. I had an episode about 18 years ago in which I discovered some dark round lumps on my shaft. When I had it looked at by a dermatologist he said it was genital warts and froze them and gave me a topical treatment.
After a couple occurrences over a couple years I finally eliminated them and I have not seen anything similar for over 10 years. I did not have a biopsy, and just assumed it was HPV.

The difference between them seems almost semantic, in that they only differ by name. They are both can be sexually transmitted, both caused by virus, both can persist for years.
It appears that the molluscum is only transmitted by direct contact with a lesion, and does not persist in the body. Now I’m not sure what to think about it.
