Blood in Semen

Blood in Semen

On Sunday I was masturbating, edging and really having a good time but when I ejaculated, it was all bloody #:-o . I just about passed-out and quickly asked my nurse friend if he knew about this sort of thing and what to do. He suggested I go to the doctor. I didn’t touch anything between Sunday and today.

Today I went to a urologist who basically felt my nuts, shoved his finger in my ass, and pulled back my remaining foreskin, told me not to be too alarmed, that it might happen a few times more, and to come back in a month if it doesn’t clear-up. :' :' I mentioned the epididymus on the right side felt a bit sore but he didn’t palpitate that.

I’m not terribly happy with that recommendation. There is BLOOD in my SEMEN dammit!

After that visit today I masturbated again very delicately and… same thing, there’s blood in my semen! |-{

Has anyone ever had this happen before? Do you think this doctor is on the right track? He said not to worry but this really freaks me out. :eek2: and I’m extremely worried.

I would get a new urologist, and quickly. It’s considerably easier to get a new urologist than a new penis.

This happened to me when I was about 13, when it happened I freaked out! I was so scared. I thought god was punishing me for masturbating lol, so I vowed not to masturbate ever again! Well obviously that didn’t turn out as planned. lol.

It has never happened again thou.

So this has happened twice to you now? I hope it goes away. Good luck.

Prostatitis.

Read my posts in a thread about semen color starting here: westla90069 - Color of your cum???.

Antibiotics may be needed. I’m surprised your urologist didn’t suggest this.

Could be. Often though, blood in semen (hemospermia) is caused by rough sex and inflammation of the seminal vessicles and goes away on its own. Your doctor did the right thing, suggesting you wait and see. Hemospermia is seldom an indication of something serious. If it persists after a month, go back to him and he’ll do some tests.

Happened to me when I was in my early 30’s. Went away on it’s own and I’ve never noticed it since. Funny, though, because I’ve never forgotten the scare and find myself checking periodically though it has been many years ago.

Last night I ejaculated again and this time it was all dark brown blood and there was so much of it that all the semen was brown. I wish I knew what precipitated this. I have a hard time believing it was just plain masturbation. Next thing I know I’ll go blind!

For anyone who cares, last night I ejaculated again and this time it came out mostly white. The first squirt had the same dark brown blood as before but most wasn’t. This may be, FINALLY, beginning to clear-up.

We care.

Exact same thing happened to me.

So far so good. Since the 20th I’ve been ejaculating normal semen with no recurrence of bleeding. I have to say, this whole episode sucked.

If this does happen to you though, definitely go see a urologist because blood in semen could be a sign of something very serious like cancer of various organs including the prostate, congential defect, or internal physical damage. It’s important to monitor your semen carefully if you see signs of blood and as you can see, just the one incident of bleeding, which may have been due to passing a large stool, could have effects that last for weeks even though no subsequent fresh blood appeared.

Always, always, see a urologist about it. If you have an HMO get a referral. The sooner a urologist gets involved the easier it is to monitor what’s going on. Doesn’t matter what your age is.

And thank you Westla. I appreciate the support.
