Enlarged prostate

Is it possible for certain PE methods to cause or lead to an enlargement of the prostrate at an older age? Has anyone heard of such reports?

I don’t want to sound depressing but I would like to add cancer as well.

Any reports about either of these?

Prostate.

I have never read of a single prostate problem stemming from PE.

Are you having symptoms (if so, what are they); or are you just one of those among the walking worried?

The prostate is continually growing all through your adult life.. It is a well worn saying that eventually if you get old enough you will get prostate cancer, as it just outgrows itself.

So whether you do PE or not. Yes. Your prostate will enlarge

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

I have had prostrate cancer, My first PSA test was 5.4. After 37 radiation treatments, and following the radiation, my PSA dropped to .7. Although I had no pain with my enlarged Prostrate, Mine was discovered by my doctor on a yearly examination.

I would suggest that if you have an enlarged prostrate you should go and get a digital exam. PC can be detected by a biopsy, following a digital exam.

P,cancer is a very slow growing, but it can kill you if it breaks out of the prostrate sack. It can spread to the hip bones and the lymph nodes. It is something that you cannot afford to take chances with.

TerryT is right. Sorry about your trial of prostate ca. Man. I’m a survivor of melanoma.

EVERY male should get a digital exam yearly after age 40. A friend of mine had both a PSA and digital done 2 years ago and they caught an aggressive adenocarcinoma. No symptoms whatsoever. He had a laparoscopic resection done and is doing well. He had asked my advice when faced with the choice of a regular surgical resection, laparoscopic or radiation only. Well, easy choice (well, not really) in my view.

In any event, most prostate cancers and the treatment of same will cause ED.

So to address the OP, the answer is no.
