Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Sites

Thanks, chainz, and from the rest of the contributors here, too. It’s really special for us to have a place where sexual issues can be talked about openly, without the fear of being put down. That doesn’t happen often in the outside world.

Avocet! Getting only about 80 to 90% erection and not making to the full potential. What would you call that? Just curious as I know someone who suffers from that. Any info or suggestion to help a Non member of this forum would be highly appreciated. BTW he is Just 25 ( No he is not my gay partner) .

I guess I’d call those 80 - 90 percent erections.

There just isn’t enough information to comment on except to say that normally a 25 yr old would not have this problem over a sustained period of time. Has he sought any medical help about this? There are so many factors that could be operating with him.

Luner:

I’m assuming your 6.8” is length, since the qualifier “only” would not apply to someone with 6.8” girth.

If you have above-average girth, larger condoms may very well help. Just because they may also be longer doesn’t mean you have to unroll them completely. There are also condoms that are ‘girthier’ but no longer than average condoms, for that matter:

I can tell you one thing from personal experience about proper condom sizing. I still have some regular sized condoms around, and I’m using them up, even though they don’t fit as well as the Magnums I prefer now.

The regular sized condoms DO still work for their intended purpose, which is why I’m using them up, but they take longer to put on and are less comfortable once I have one on. So, for me, it’s not so much that the regular size condom is squeezing blood out, but that putting it on means more of an interruption in the action, which contributes to things subsiding somewhat.

Hey godofdeviltry,

There isn’t a lot of detail describing the guys ED, but just on surface value, it could be a venous leak (when the veins in the corpora cavernosa do not close enough to retain the blood in the penis properly). I’m kind of an expert with that type of ED because in my 20s I developed a leak – wasn’t too happy about that. Erections that were previously harder, larger, didn’t fill up as much, were slow to fill up, might be more easily lost. 10% to 20% reduction in regular erection rigidity and size sounds about right… (it’s just an educated guess, there are many forms of ED but venous leaks are a very common form).

Has your friend tried a cock ring?

I obviously endorse HARDWEAR, it closes the veins and traps blood far more effectively than even fully healthy veins. I have not a trace of any leakage issue when wearing HARDWEAR. Constriction is very effective for leaks and many other ED issues. Prior to more invasive procedures many urologists will suggest patients try a constriction device for “leaky” erections.

I also understand they have surgical approaches to leaks now.

Wow that is exactly what happened to me a couple nights ago. Really wanted to please the girl I was going to be with, PE-ed too much, and couldn’t get hard. Now I feel like crap.

Hi all,

Three days ago, I practice clamping for the first time, this day all is OK, but until this day, I’m not succeeded to get erection, I feel some damage on my tissues/nerves,
Does they will be OK after some other days, Does someone experience a similar problem Please help me,

Thanks in advance,

Please help, any advise, suggestion

If it’s OK now, it’s OK. Don’t do what you did before to cause that lack of erection quality. Clamping is an exercise you have to be well “conditioned” for before you start it. And even then, go cautiously.

I’m starting to worry this might be something that’s affecting me.
After the missus being away for just under a month we were obviously very “keen”, had no problem at 1st but started to gradually loose my erection and couldn’t regain it.
She did quite hurt me pulling back on my skin very hard which caused some soreness for a few days and seemed to stretch my foreskin leaving the glands exposed, probably where the soreness came in!
That certainly didn’t help and because of the soreness I didn’t/ couldn’t get it in but I don’t think that is the only issue.

I’ve noticed over probably the last year or so now my quality wasn’t as good, I’d originally put this down to no longer really doing any PE exercises (although very active so fitness shouldn’t be an issue).
Not to the point it caused any real concern or problem but I’m wondering more now..

The big thing that’s I’m looking into now is diabetes, I’ve suffered for about 18 years now and since hitting puberty my control has been less than ideall, not through lack of trying I just have a very varied lifestyle so it’s always been hard to build a routine with my diabetes, one day I’ll be hypo at 10am then next hyper at 10 am with the same insulin or using the same ratios etc.

I guess probably my main question is how long would it take for ED to be reversed by improved control, does it relate to your current sugar or your long term sugar?
For instance if I was at 7 when I went to bed would that have a knock on effect even if my hba1c was say 11 or would both have to be sat at around 7 (the average recommended value)?

Also what if anything can I do other than improve control, I know PE exercises can be beneficial.
I don’t really want to venture into rings, pills etc. Is there anything I can do myself.?

Thanks in advance, and again a shout to the guys running these pages- I for one really appreciate somewhere I can confidently discuss these things so cheers!

Diabetes relates to both your current and your long term sugar values. And the tie between diabetes and ED is a tight one. It is important to keep yourself as regulated, all the time, as you possibly can. Doing this will lessen long-term nerve and vascular damage.

If you are having swings in your blood sugar, keep a log (I assume you monitor during the day and evening); show the log to your doc. If your concern is, would a swing in blood sugar on a particular day effect a specific sexual encounter that day: No. ED caused by diabetes is a slower and more insidious process. This is why regular sugar monitoring is so important.

Cheers for that.
I do keep regular monitoring and have more regular than normal check ups with my consultant and a sports specialist as well as I’m so active (very active at work and also race bikes at elite level) so I’m rarely sitting still..

In all honesty until reading your group it hadnt really ever occurred to me the 2 were linked, I knew diabetes can cause lower testosterone levels etc. But not have such an “obvious” if you like impact aswell.
Yet another incentive to stab myself and write about it!

Cheers again.
