Gonna get my Varicocele checked.

Well, next wednesday I’m off to get my varicocele checked. I’m nervous as hell already, I hate to go to doctors…

May not be important to you at all, but left alone they can chop your sperm count, even putting the discomfort aside.

A suggestion: Before your appointment, write down on paper all your symptoms, questions and concerns. Give one copy to the doctor and go down the list together while you are there. Doctors appreciate this (helps them zero in on what is going on) and this will keep you from banging your head on the steering wheel on the way home saying, “WHY didn’t I mention X!?”

Trust me, you will have no surprises for your doctor. They have seen everything and are almost always very smooth about handling genital issues, even though these issues may make us nuts. Relax. Make this an opportunity to learn as much as you can about your problem by asking questions.

I have no symptoms other than the big veins. No discomfort etc.

I know, except that the doctor might be surprised by a huge elephant penis in my pants.
