varicocele

varicocele

Hi guys

I will just post a quick question. I am pretty positive that I have a condition called varicocele on the left side of my testicles. I had it also before I started doing the PE and it didn’t bother me at all. I have noticed lately that the condition is getting worse because the varicocele is getting bigger and they really make my balls look swollen. This is most obvious right after the workout and post-workout too. I am just curious if someone else had the condition and what would be the best solution for me. Can the relation between PE and growing varicocele be drawn?

Thanks
Matt

Matt,

I have varicocele on my left testicle pretty bad, and a more mild case on the right testicle. I’m unfortunate enough that it has caused some testicular atrophy, though it could be much worse. There was a time when my testicles were huge, now they’re just a little below normal in size; though, when the vericocele is inflamed, they can look pretty large. I’m sure you understand what I’m speaking about here. With my condition, I experience mild discomfort regularly throughout the day, and severe pain every once in a while. I’ve noticed that PE can inflame it and make the pain more frequent and cause the discomfort to last longer as the day goes by.

I’ve been PEing on and off for about a year (on and off meaning that I’ve gone months without doing a whole lot of anything), and it seems that my condition has grown a little more resilient to PE. However, it should be noted that since I’ve been getting back into PE on a regular basis, that the varicocele on the left side seems to be getting irritated. In fact, it’s throbbing with that little sharp pain as I type this.

I don’t really have a solution, but I can tell you what I do sometimes when it gets bad. I usually give my testicles a light massage after a PE session, and often when I’m taking a break during a PE session I’ll fill that time with kegels and a ball-rub. I also, this is rare because it’s so cold, I wrap a bag of ice in a thin clothe and hold it to my testicles. This seems to ease the pain associated with varicocele and may reduce the inflammation, though I can’t say for certain.

Thanks hobby

I have checked the thread and I think it is time for myself to see a doc.

Kog thanks for your tip also. I will definitely try to bring this thing down with a lot of ball massaging like after the pe session and before sleep. So this is true that pe makes this worse. Why do you think this is so? As I said before I wont take any chances and get this thing sorted out.

See ya

Sorry,

I forgot to mention that you might want to wear briefs. I hate briefs, so i wear boxer-briefs. They seem to provide enough support. Also, since the problem is that our blood can’t be pumped out of our scrotum the way it should be, you may want to try lifting your sack when you’re in bed. I’m not sure if this well help, I’ve never tried it. I’m going to give it a shot, though. It seems that gravity would, or should, be able to help pull the blood away from the testicles.

I think it may further constrict the flow of blood out of the scrotum. The reduction of blood-flow caused by PE coupled with the already hindrance caused by the varicocele is probably what we’re having a problem with. I’ve been to the urologist about mine. He said unless I’m wanting to have another child, it isn’t something I should worry about. Not all people experience pain with this condition, but I do. As a result of the pain, I’ve been considering having it repaired.

Good theory KOG

I am wondering how does your actual testicles feel after the workout because I find mine to be a little bigger and maybe a little harder. I am not referring to balls but to actual testicles.

Matt

I got some varicocele on my left ball aswell. I’ve got an appointment with an urologist in like, 5-6 months or so, so we’ll se how bad it is. I don’t experience any discomfort from it or anything, and I still have a healthy testicle, so it doesn’t feel very critical at the moment.

I’m not sure if they’re harder after a PE session, I haven’t really checked. But I have noticed that they’re harder than normal sometimes.
