Had a Vasectomy today

Maybe Im imagiining it somewhat, but the Mrs agrees, volume is signifcantly lower.

That part is probably in your head because you expect volume to go down - a major concern of guys who have vasectomies. In fact, less than 5 percent of your total ejaculate volume is composed of sperm. Your prostate and seminal vessicles are totally unaffected by the procedure and they produce most of the fluids.

Probably when you get your mind adjusted to all this, you won’t even notice the difference. And think of the fun you’ll have once you are “cleared” by the lab. :)

As it happens, I thought mine actually increased, but this, too, may just be perception. The reality is that it fluctuates.

I KNOW what should be happening, it just seems to be more than that :D

Personally, I dont really care either way.

Im still having fun!

I’m pretty sure that mine’s less bitter than it was pre vasectomy too. I’d ask my wife, but she hasn’t had more than precum in her mouth for several years (which she seems to like).

Maybe its time to expand her horizons a little MDC?

I got the Mrs to take a mouthfull in the shower the other day. She said she didnt mind it at all.
She did however, stop short of saying she liked it :D

I would love to know in more detail about the procedure as I want to get a Vasectomy in the next few months.

You said non-scalpel, I thought the scrotum needed to be cut open.

I assume your Vas Deferens were cut rather than tied?

Silly question, but I think each testes has a Vas Deferens so did you get them both cut?

Any details would be appreciated so I have some knowledge when I ask my GP about it.

The surgery is called non-scalpel, but yes the scrotum needs to be cut. The Dr grabs one of the Vas, brings it to the surface and then uses forceps to break the skin and pull out the Vas.
A section of the Vas is cut and removed and the ends cauterised as well as the sheath covering the Vas.
The procedure is the repeated with the other Vas .Except for the hole in the scrotum, both are done via the same hole.

Im now getting close to 4 weeks post op and everything is back to normal.
Had zero complications and now have zero discomfort (not that it was ever more the annoying for a few days)

Just as well I got the vasectomy done, the Mrs is having real trouble on the pill (cycle all over the place) so has had to go off it alltogther a little earlier than we planned. Back to good ol’ condoms for a few more weeks…man I hate those things :D

A69, thanks for that description.

It has made it much clearer for me now.

I assume this method is less likely to fail than other types of Vasectomy procedure.

I just hope this method is used in the UK.

Im pretty sure the same procedure is used all over the world now due to the lower rates of complications with this method over the traditional scapel vasectomy.

Yep I had a vasectomy as well. Best decision of my life (I think). But anyways I felt great then and feel even better now. Yep and the plumbing works fine :)

If you stretch it, it will grow. If you clamp it, she will know.

Ok, I have wondered about this for awhile, and am about to show people how ignorant I am, but here goes:

After you have a vasectomy, is your cum still white?

I figure it is the sperm that is white — I don’t know why I figured that? So getting a vasectomy = no sperm = clear ejaculate.

But I am wrong about that, right?

Yes, it is still white.

I had the operation a year ago and it hurt, it hurt allot. It felt like the doctor was stabbing my testicles with a needle. I think the problem was the operation was in a teaching hospital in Korea.

After the surgery everything healed and works fine. My cum has the same look and consistency and my wife claims the size of my loads have increased but I think they are the same.

Despite the pain of the operation it was a great decision for me.

One thing that I have noticed that after having my vasectomy is that after doing my kegeling it hurts like hell sometimes. Has anyone else had this problem?

I see that Testosterone is made in the interstitial cells of Leydig in the Testes.

Does having a vasectomy cause any changes in the production or circulation of hormone levels like Testosterone?

Is there a higher incidence in Testicular cancer after a vasectomy?
