My workout recovery time had diminished to the point where 3 sets of heavy squats would leave me sore for days. The change was so gradual though until I thought about it and it hit me how much faster I was recovering and could even add volume.

Ed726 it may or may not work for him but one thing is for sure guys jump on trt way too fast without actually trying to figure out what the root cause is. He is way too young to even consider it without exploring the possibilities and since vitamin deficiency(especially zinc) is so common among lifters it would be a smart choice. Look it up for yourself. Most doctors won’t even spend the time of day trying to figure things out naturally medicine and shots will be the first choice for them.

I’m on the same page with you. I just gave that link so he can research and learn how many different things are going on in our bodies that can be affecting him and there are people that can see his lab work and get a clue what’s going on.
Zinc may or may not work for him, just as 10 other things might not work.
I never suggested he go on trt, but I also don’t think he should start jumping from supplement to supplement without trying to figure things out and like I said there’s guys on that forum that know what they’re doing. I’ve been through it myself, best of luck to him.
I agree with you on the doctor statement. Firsthand experience with that.

My Doc was pissed that I had overcome tadalafil. That showed me all I needed.

Adding zinc citrate to my stack isn’t going to hurt me.

They were mad when my mom overcame her blood pressure pills with exercise and told them she didn’t take them. This was after he saw how good her numbers were. They get bonuses when they prescribe things so to know you overcame your medicine can piss some of them off. But some really do want you to do good for yourself even if it means no extra money for them.

Ha, we’re all in the same boat.

My endo’s assistant was shocked when I got my a1c from a 13 to a 7. She said it’s too high. I said really, what if I told you it was a 7 without taking any meds for 4 months? Her jaw hit the floor, lol. Her and the endo were speechless.

I took 25mg of zinc citrate last night and was flying after a half hour.

Placebo?

Possibly.

Makes me edgy.

I had acne this morning as well, so something physiological is happening.

It sure isn’t giving me a buzz. Of all the supplements I take, only 1 has made a noticeable difference. Creatine is it.
Nothing noticeable from the zinc yet.
I’m hoping I get results like Rahman. 4 days to recover from leg day really sucks.

It doesn’t give me a buzz either.

My recovery time at the gym is improving, I also think my balls are getting bigger. Interesting to say the least
