With food, Paxil reaches it’s max concentration around 5 hours, or at 7 hours if taken on an empty stomach.

You would likely assume that the function is a straight line like y = bx. Thus, if you take 25 mg of Zoloft it might delay your ejaculation 15 minutes. Logically, you would conclude that 50 mg of Zoloft would delay it 30 minutes (double the dose and double the time to ejaculate). However, it may or may not work this way. Doubling the dose (x) may increase your time to ejaculate 4 fold. At least this is what happened to me. Doubling the dose again may make the time to ejaculate so long (say 4-5 hours) that you will never reach ejaculation. Thus, you feel you are suffering from anorgasmia. For all practical purposes, indeed you are.

The only point I was trying to make is there is no magic formula for dosage and premature ejaculation control. You simply have to experiment. With trial and error you can find a good dosage for you.

How much 5-htp would you have to take to make the equivalent of a standard dose of zoloft?

In my opinion, this is false hope. I can’t recall anyone mentioning anything contrary.

mravg used 5-HTP and noticed no effect on ejaculation time, that’s noted in one of the 5-HTP threads.

In general, beware that these drugs are potent. If you have problems with depression, go ahead. If you don’t - try every single other avenue first.

Look, there are times when people become soooo narrow minded that they fail to see the irrational decisions they are making, and this is a classic case.
This guy is so bent on fixing his little problem if the devil came to him and said “I’ll take a leg and an arm, but I’ll fix your premature ejaculation problem” this guy would say, “HELL YES, TAKE THE OTHER LEG TOO I JUST NEED 1 HAND TO WANK!”.
Advise: get those screws surgically removed from your head and grow some balls and you just might get through it by overcoming the mental roots of your problem!

I have been experimenting with a half dose of Zoloft every day for several months. It gave me all of the negative side effects (like insomnia, twitching, etc.) without any of the positive side effects (like sexual superpower) I wanted.

I decided to stop it last week and will begin looking for other options.
For me, Zoloft causes too many problems for the sexual enhancement it provides.
I have to take a high dose of it to correct my premature ejaculation and it’s just not worth all the negative side effects for the benefits.

Some of us have more side effects to SSRI’s than others—hence my last post.

I don’t like premature ejaculation, but Zoloft absolutely causes more problems than it fixes for me.

Though these are the same as SSRI’s do you think they are as severe or harsh? Seeing that SSRI’s are meant to treat depression. (I’m not saying Dapoxetine doesn’t have side effect)
