I'm giving up

Are you in good shape? If not, I’d join a gym and put some energy and passion into cardiovascular exercise and bodybuilding. Also, clean up your diet completely. No fried food, and not a lot of sweets. Do this stuff and you might find your body returning to a functional state.

It blows

It sure does. It’s like you no longer exist. You’re just cruzing through life wasting oxygen.

I’m in ok shape. I’m 6ft. tall and I weigh about 155lbs. I don’t have any strength at all. I used to work out a little but had to stop about a year or so ago when my Chronic Fatigue got worse. Now I am so tired I just can’t get motivated to do anything. My first stop as soon as I get home from work is the couch for an hour or two for a nap. I start getting drowsy on the drive home. I almost doze off several times at work. On the weekends I will sleep for 10 or 11 hours but will still have to take 1 or 2 naps throughout the day.

I told supposedly the best endocrinologist in my area about it last year and he just brushed it off. Same way he brushed all the rest of my symptoms. The blood work came back normal and that is all he cared about.

I’ve got a fully equipped workout room about 100 yards away from my apartment but I won’t go. What I need is a personal trainer but I can’t afford one. If I have somewhere to go at a certain time and meet someone there, I will do that. But left to do it on my own, I won’t. Just too tired.

I have never heard of anyone who could benefit more from GINSENG (it will give you the energy you need, and might boost sex drive too). I am a personal trainer and I can work with you some on PM if you actually have an interest in working out.

Living with no air conditioning has cured my chronic fatigue feeling, do you like to keep your thermostat set low?

<If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are headed>

Have you tried going to an integrative medicine doctor? I am going through some problems right now where low sex drive is one of the symptoms, and I am slowly getting better with the help of a doctor who does integrative medicine.

Hey Formula1 I know you have been battling this for years. But it’s sure sounds like your testosterone levels are way low, and 155 at 6ft is real skinny, 180 would be a much better weight for you as long as it was muscle.

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. Thomas Edison (1847-1931)

The first thing I can tell you from my experience is that there are definitely some things that conventional medicine can’t treat, and that there are good doctors out there as well as half-assed ones, just like any other professions.

I did the whole circuit of getting blood tests and scopes done every few weeks, for about a year and a half. Then, I went to an integrative guy (an MD) who has a completely different way of diagnosing problems. Found out that I had a parasite and some excess metals in my body. I am currently in the middle of a parasite die-off, but I am already feeling a lot better.

I’m around 158lbs and I’m not really skinny, at least not unnaturally skinny.

I'm a big fan of 50 Cent, or as we call him in Zimbabwe, four hundred million dollars.

Formula1: I know you’ve been on the forum a while and have posted about this quite a bit. I’m really sorry to hear you have not yet resolved the problem. Sometimes drastic events calls for drastic measures.

Have you tried MT2 or PT-141: bremelanotide? For me this is better than Cialis or Viagra. Works in the brain to stimulate libido rather than just increasing blood-flow to the penis. Maybe you should give it a shot. I’ve always felt your problem sounded more psychological than physical. But I’m not a doctor.

Check out my MT2 thread, lots of info there. Here is some info on just the PT: 141 without the darkening factor:

The Libido Drug | Men’s Journal

This is an experimental drug, so beware all the warnings. It is not FDA approved. But if I was in your shoes, I’d try everything before giving up at 45.

Good luck, dude.

I had those symptoms too and my condition started suddenly, with no previous warning signs. It was the consequence of losing electrolytes (Na+, K+). After having the very first dose of electrolytes, everything came back to normal!

Every and I mean EVERYthing has been tried. Test levels, to dopamine to, everything. Believe me. Tens of thousands of dollars spent.
Diet and gyms. People like us, are way beyond trying that stuff. No offense.

10s of thousands have been spent to help people like us.

Are you guys having any other symptoms? Low energy, fatigue, etc? Or just low sex drive?

Fool, bremelanotide works it’s just impossible to find. And dopamine agonists almost impossible to get I repeat not a dopamine re uptake inhibitor like wellbutrin an agonist like requip it’s used for parkinsons.

Sounds like you “might” be a candidate for HGH injections and possibly testosterone. You can get it in pill form but its nothing like the injections, not even close. But not HGH true HGH is injection only.

I’m no doctor either, but my guess is its 50% mental and 50% low testosterone. I have a friend who when he was 36 had the same problems minus the aches and pains. He was tired and had zero sex drive. He even quit working out. Very fit man. I believe he was able to receive HGH, but testosterone was in pill form. Its extremely hard to get HGH. Also i don’t know if anything factored in for him to receive the HGH either.

It seem to work for him from what he says, and I believe now he takes a form of testosterone for when he works out “not prescribed”

If I was in your shoes, I would hit one of the doctors you have been to the most, the one who knows you and what has been tried personally and request this.

Do not give up friend. With medicine today they say 40s is the new 20s. Factoring out obesity, a typical fit 40 year old today, has the health of someone in their 20s about 30 years ago. It was a special I watched, very motivating to people like me who worry about aging. The legitimacy of it who knows, but it made me feel better =)
