Have you tried MT2 or PT-141: bremelanotide? For me this is better than Cialis or Viagra. Works in the brain to stimulate libido rather than just increasing blood-flow to the penis. Maybe you should give it a shot. I’ve always felt your problem sounded more psychological than physical. But I’m not a doctor.

Check out my MT2 thread, lots of info there. Here is some info on just the PT: 141 without the darkening factor:

The Libido Drug | Men’s Journal

This is an experimental drug, so beware all the warnings. It is not FDA approved. But if I was in your shoes, I’d try everything before giving up at 45.

Good luck, dude.

It’s funny that you bring up PT-141. Back several years ago, maybe two years after I first got sick, my doctor in my old hometown brought up PT-141. He said at that time they were coming out with it and maybe I would benefit from it. I moved to my current city in 2007. Brought PT-141 up to my new doctor and he said he had not heard anything about it. I looked from time to time at one of the overseas drug places where you get Viagra and Cialis from because they said they were going to carry PT-141. Last I heard early last year, they didn’t know if they were ever going to get it. So is it now available? If so where can you get it? You can PM me if we are not allowed to say so here.

It’s always been my contention that when I got sick in 2002 I suffered some sort of brain damage at the same time. I say that because I now my brain doesn’t work like it used to. I have become much more stupid than I was before. I don’t learn things anymore. Before the illness I was able to fantisize easily about sex, women, etc. I could get an erection by just closing my eyes and thinking about something. Back then I could be at work at my desk, get a good fantasy going and then not be able to get up because of the huge boner I had. After the illness I can’t think about anything for more than a fraction of a second. My mind runs everywhere. I don’t even dream the same way anymore. Used to I would dream one long dream the entire night. Now I dream in segments. On, off, on, off.

Not 100% yet but very good.

Our bodies are so complex that there are SO many areas where there could be a problem.. And unfortunately the only explanation offered by most modern doctors is “lets get some blood work done” and “I can put you on this antidepressant.”

If you can afford shelling out a few hundred bucks you should absolutely do it. I’m not sure if I am allowed to give a doctor’s name on the forum but he was voted best doctor in the city by many of our local magazines.

Yeah but how do you try to find an integrative doctor?

Formula1:

Try tan research dot com. I think they carry both MT2 and PT 141. I’ve never tried the PT 141, myself but have heard good things about it. However, the MT2 makes me hornier than a motherfucker. When I take it I have at least a semi erection all the time, even without stimulation. With stimulation, whether physical or fantasy, I get hard as a rock. I’d compare the erection quality to what I’d get from 20 mg of Cialis, but without the eye issues or other side effects that come along with Cialis, or Viagra.

Although, the MT2 does have other side effects. It makes some people sick when they first take it, and it really knocks out your apatite. This might be some concern, since you are a thin person to begin with. Just start with small doses until you see how you react to it.

Maybe smoke a joint with it if you can’t eat anything.

I know that this thread is about a serious issue, but I have to say, this comment from iamaru real funny, wow.

Just when I thought the other poster was going to say that we have an important sex organ located between our ears, I read on, and he said, “up our ass”. Wow, that was a surprise for me even though I’m quite fond of having my prostate stimulated by a man or woman.

Struggling with a peyronies injury during sex and loss of size after having been into PE.

For starters, I’m 20. Now, this phenomenon is something I have experienced and is part of the reason I’ve gone a major health drive in the last 6 months. For ages, I just felt I was becoming dumber and dumber. It started around the age of 18, and at that time, I was in too bad a place to care. Now, I’ve started to turn it all around and this sensation has ceased. I’m learning much more readily and regaining my energy. I had major ‘tiredness’ issues as well with this feeling. I realised I had to do something now, as I was too young to be suffering something like this.

My solution has been to (initially, drag my ass) go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week and hit it as hard as I could manage. I go with a buddy, which greatly helped in the beginning. Now, going to the gym isn’t a chore. The results are enough motivation in themselves. So, that’s all I can suggest to you. Get your ass off the couch, down to the gym and do as much as you physically can. Don’t get disheartened if that isn’t a lot to start with. I promise you within a month, things will be looking a little sunnier. And saying you don’t have time is daft unless you work 24:7. I often work 12-14 hour days. You fit it around your work. The cold, hard truth is that YOU need to get YOUR ass off that fucking couch and do something.

I don’t say that to spite you, but thats the circle I was getting trapped in and there is only ONE way out.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

You are 100% correct. I know I need to get up and do something. But the problem is I need to figure out how to get out of this extreme drowsiness and the overwhelming need to sleep. Tonight when I came home from work I laid down and didn’t wake up until 90 minutes later. Even now I still feel very tired and drowsy after a 90 minute nap. If the drowsiness gets to be too big of a problem at work, I carry No-doze tablets in my pocket. When I take one I do feel much more alert and my brain starts working better. That’s where I need to be all day and into the evening and then I would have the energy to go workout, etc.

But I don’t have any friends to go to the gym with. I also have a problem in dealing with strangers so I don’t like to go to the gym when there are other people there. Besides the strangers problem, it’s also very embarrassing when someone gets off a leg press machine that is set for 280 pounds or so and I have to reset it for 140. Or when someone walks past and sees me struggling to lift 60 pounds on an overhead lift, etc.

These are mostly excuses to keep you in your self defined comfort zone. I know, because I felt the same. It was just a matter of determination to remove these mental obstacles.
I went alone to the gym. There were only strangers, intimidating by their strength, but surprisingly friendly and helpful.
I felt embarrassed at the beginning lifting a bar without any attached weight… No one laughed, or commented ironically.
I thought my age could be embarrassing too, being twice as old than most guys. It wasn’t a problem, not for me, not for others.
In a short while I felt integrated in a community realising that my initial concerns were groundless!

Going to gym is one of the best things you can do to get rid of lethargy!
