I'm thinking about getting a vasectomy

I’m worried about a couple of things. First, will there be any side effects to my sex life? And second, do you think a doctor will be able to tell I do pe because of discoloration. When I’m flaccid my unit is really dark and two toned because the base is lighter. It might seem silly but I’m worried about the nurses and doctors being able to tell. To be honest with you this is really my biggest concern with getting a vasectomy.

jaji,

I had one 16 years ago and have never once regretted it. If there is a side effect to your sex life, it will be that you get more sex! As far as the Urologist noticing your PE, I sincerely doubt it. I have gone in a few times over the years because of PE injuries, and only one doctor took PE seriously. These guys see everything, and your discolorations will be old hat to him. Besides, you don’t have to socialize with the doctor, have him over for dinner, or even make chit-chat. Go ahead, it only takes a few minutes. You won’t regret it!

"In an honest Service there is thin Commons, low Wages, and hard labour; in this (Piracy), Plenty and Society, Pleasure and Ease, Liberty and Power; and who would not balance Creditor on this side when all the Hazard that is run for it, at worst, is only a sour Look or two at choaking. No, A merry Life and a short one, shall be my Motto."--Bartholomew Roberts

I had my vasectomy back at the beginning of this year. I did refrain from PE for a week prior, just to be sure there wasn’t any spots or things that would cause them concern. It was nice being 5+ x 5+ flaccid, but nobody commented on that. The nurse did mention my grooming when she was cleaning down there. :)

Go for it as long as you’re sure you don’t want more kids. It won’t affect your sex life in a negative way.

Had one about 5 years ago. Awesome choice! In and out in twenty minutes, drove myself home—- (really cute nurse eyeballing my shriveled schween— it was great!)
Jaji-
It’s everything you’ve dreamed of since you first learned that the spittle dribbling from your pecker has the power to seriously affect your life. It’s a license to kill—- and in my case a licence to chase down my wifes hot fat ass whenever I want— HooooHah!

As for the Docs potential PE ponderings — If he says anything at all, look him straight in the eye, pause for a full 10 seconds, and with all the sincerity you can muster say “You have the most beautiful eyes.”
End of questions, on to surgery.

good luck-Cap

Jaji, I asked a similar question a few months ago and got a lot of positive responses: PE and Vasectomy

I had to stop my ball stretching for fear of pulling the clips loose. Real bummer because testicles are high and tight against me most of the time.

Stretchin,
You shouldn’t worry about the clips coming loose. They should have cut the cords, so there shouldn’t be any tension on them when ball stretching.

I had mine about 7 yrs ago.

The only side effect I noticed (and this doesn’t happen to every guy) it that when I orgasm I don’t “shoot”. I used to be able to shoot 2feet, now I only “dribble”. This started right after the vacectomy. No amount of Kegels seem to help. Oh well.

Other than that I love it……..my sex life is very spontanious because there are no birth control worries.

Insurance covered it completely…….I went in on a friday……$2 and 20min later I was worry free……….I was back to work on monday.

The best decision I ever made.

Oh yeah— forgot to mention that. If you, like me, are married and your wife is of child-bearing age and you pay for your own insurance coverage, a vasectomy means a nice drop in your insurance premium.

WTF are “clips”????

I have clips in my sac too.

when they did the “V” they took out the tubes, clipped a 1” section, tied both ends, cauterized the ends & then put small metal clips on the ends.

They are tiny.

They say the clips are no big deal since they are tiny. But when I found out the doctor that did mine didn’t use metal clips, I was happy about it. He just cauterized and tied them off.

I only had a problem when I had an MRI. Make sure they use tungsten clips, not the older stainless. The MRI gave me burns as it vibrated the metal. Worse case of kick in the crotch I ever had.

Also, every once and a while I “scratch” my ball with one of the clips, not too pleasant.

Overall, just do it. I cannot stress enough though, that if you do, ensure you do the PSA and prostrate exams routinely as you are now more at risk.

Like MDC, my guy simply cauterized and tied them off. Not even a stitch on the outer sack. The incision he made was so small he simply pinched the skin together for about 30 seconds when finished and that was that.

Why the need for clips inside? This never even came up in my consultation. Had it, I might have thought twice.
