Thunder's Place

The big penis and mens' sexual health source, increasing penis size around the world.

I've had a change of heart regarding PE!

I wasn’t offended, just seriously considering your suggestion. So many of the health professionals have suggested a mental issue that I’ve started wondering if there can be any fact in this. Despite my ‘physical’ symptoms.

I guess the problem here also is that I’ve wondered if I’ve had an unhealthy sex addiction for most of my life. And now I’ve lost my libido - for whatever reason - I’ve become pre-occupied with getting that feeling back! On one of my visits to a pshycosexual clinic It was suggested that for the first time in my adult life I had gained control over my sexual desires. And this was a good thing.

I’ve been trying to find some positives out of this situation.

Is what I described above - regarding spontaneous arousal etc - normal for most guys?

Hey Bigbox, I think your problem is just a mix of cheratization of the glans, depression/anxiety and effects of age.

Anxiety is one of the leading causes of ED. Let me just spin my wheels and throw some things out there. I’m a new member but long time reader — specifically regarding injuries because I debated for a while if the possible consequences were worth the 1 inch or so I’m after.

It is possible that you may have overworked or injured your penis at one time. Injuries can take weeks - months to heal and in that time you could have built a lot of anxiety (understandably so) about your unit never being the same again. Are there other stresses or lifestyle changes you have had in this time? Any sexual partners?

You said there are times at which you experience normal sexual function when you are mentally very involved. This leads me to believe in some mental or psychological blocker because a permanent injury is that —- permanent. It doesn’t come and go as we please.

Try taking some supplements, check out the supplement forum.

There are many things that you can take to help you out, and many of the are widley available.

I don’t recall any major changes, and I currently don’t have a partner. Masturbation is my current form of sexual release. The idea that there might be a psychological block is interesting, and I’ve wondered about this as sometimes I can sometimes get aroused and get going as it were. But I’ve thought this might also be me adapting to and trying to accept my new sensitivity threshold.

I’m wondering… does a guy always feel sexual excitement when his genitals are touched/stimulated. Or is this dependent on his sexual mood? Is it normal for genital stimulation to feel numb at times?

Have your free testosterone levels checked. Start supplementing with Nettle Root Extract- it will increas your free testosterone levels. In a healthy males, erections should occur from mental stimulation, not physical. If you have high levels of free testosterone, you will feel the urge to fuck any female that walks by you(within reason of course;) ).

Bigbox, depending on what PE sites you look at, some will say that the pump can cause damage. My recommendation is to resume just jelqing on a light routine to force more blood and oxygen into your penis. Combine this with kegels and see what happens. Stay away from pumps!

Bigbox..

Testosterone, Prostate.. Get them checked out.. You are at ‘that’ age where these could be causing your ED problems.

I think we’re seemingly “designed” to be able to ignore our genitals most of the time so we can get something done. When I’m flaccid I wouldn’t say I’m numb but I’m not getting erotic sensations until I’m aroused.

Intact guys should have a reflexing reaction to tickling the frenular area or preputial sphincter at any time. They should feel the scrotum pucker a bit.

I’d say if you think you’ve damaged nerves then stop forcefully manipulating your shaft (i.e. NO jelqing) and give them a chance to heal.

OLD THREAD but what the hell. I read his post. Sounds like Bigbox is on antidepressants. Them buggers will kill your sex drive! Hope he gets it back!

This is really no help to you, but can I just add that I know exactly what you mean when you say the journey to orgasm is “bland”. I often feel the same way when having sex.

At first I couldn’t even reach orgasm. I’ve largely fixed that, but between erection and orgasm I feel the kind of numbness you describe. It usually takes me at least 10 - 20 mins to feel like I can orgasm. And when I do, there’s the release, but it’s like there’s no real build up.

Using my hand, from almost as soon as I’m erect I keep myself on the brink of orgasm the entire time, and every stroke feels awesome. There’s a massive build up. It’s not the same with sex, where it’s kind of numb until I just cum, and that’s the end of it.

Why don’t you answer PMs?

I have had similar problems and I went to see a psychologist about it. It has made an improvement!

Just my thoughts

I know this is an old thread, but to anyone who is reading this and has a similar experience..

I think it’s age. I’m heading towards mid forties and I have noticed a mad drop in drive.

I used to masturbate morning wood every day, then by lunchtime be needing to do it again.

Not forgetting finishing the day with another orgasm.

As the years have gone by (since late thirties) the urge has dropped off big style.

As I dribble, and don’t ejaculate much, I’ve kind of lost the will over the whole need for sex.

It’s something I have accepted as a matter of just getting older.

We’re all different, and eventually those damn hormones change. Some more than others.

Just my two cents.
