Masturbatioin Addiction, Qutting Advice

Many opinions on masturbation and effect on gains. However, if one is to cease or reduce masturbation, how would one go about it.

I would like advice from all. Especially ex-masturbation addicts who have reduced, and would love to hear about those who went cold turkey.

Know that your body is “used to” masturbating often. So it’s a habit: both physical and emotional.

In order to change this, you’ll have to be persistent. Because your old habit will keep popping up, and resist your intent.

Here is the “way”. Do edging. Start with 5 minutes for example.
Don’t ejaculate at the end. Just let it cool down.

Then increase this time gradually, until you can do 30-45 minutes edging.

Also the same thing after girth works (jelqing, etc.) , too. Don’t ejaculate afterwards.
Limit your ejaculations at about 1 per a week or ten days. That’s a good balance, unless you want to go more “professional” (Taoist techniques)

You’ll need persistence over a long period of time, until you can adjust to your new (better) habit.

I agree that frequent masturbation can become emotional/psychological. Try heavy weightlifting or running long distances. Do something to significantly tire out your body and see if that helps.

I agree with kaan. Of course it will be hard at first, but after a while you’ll find more and more fun and enjoyable the sensation of feeling the preorgasmic waves without coming off. And after your sessions you’ll feel the sexual energy in your body.

The best way to quit anything is to just quit here and now!

Saying “one more time and that will be my last” is a sign of weakness before you start so don’t do this!

Good God that seems impossible for me. I have problems sleeping if I don’t let the boys out of the bag within 2 or 3 days. And I don’t mean like I get to sleep eventually, I mean I can’t sleep. My temp goes way up and I sweat like a pig and roll around with a constant hard on that does not die. Eventually I just have to do what needs to be done to sleep.

Ballooning Edging

Thanks for great advice. I have been ballooning and edging, experiencing a strange feeling through the abs. I has masturbated 4 times in the last 8 days, down from an average of 2 a day. Getting out bit has helped. I do run quite a lot, inspired by Stuart Mittleman, and I have recently joined the Gym. I do have a lady, unfortunately she is in another country. I will read more about edging and ballooning

Do anything that gets you active, out of the house, and around other people.

Take the bull by the horns and just stop. Whenever you feel the urge, go for a walk, do something.

Libido inspires perfectly normal urges. Why subvert them unless you have some current medical reason for doing that?

Edging is masturbation, whether you cum or not; and it takes a whole lot longer to do. You could spend part of that time in a gym, or walking outdoors, or being with friends.

If you believe, counter to the opinions of a lot of vets here who have made considerable gains and jerked off and/or had sex during the process, that ejaculation is a PE negative - go for abstinance. Don’t stimulate yourself. Quit. But don’t whine if that doesn’t work for you. :)

Don’t try and give up. It’s a lost cause. Impossible, and can cause you to become a pedophile (look at priests for Christ’s sakes)

Things have gone well. Masturbation did spiral out of control, to 3 times a day. More boredom I believe and quick enjoy, but in the last 15 days, I have masturbated 0.666 times a day, a marked improvement.

Sports, Gym, Class, Running and getting out more have helped. Things go wrong if I have a smoke, but it is okay. But if I don’t masturbate, I see it as a bonus to growth.

Some have mentioned substances in cum to be beneficial to growth, is this true? Any good threads or links.
