What this study adds:
“During ‘missionary position’ intercourse the penis has the shape of a boomerang.”

“During female sexual arousal without intercourse the uterus rises and the anterior vaginal wall lengthens.”

“The size of the uterus does not increase during sexual arousal.”

According to the MRI, the average size of the erect penis (inner ‘root’ plus pendulous) part outside of body is around 22 cm (around 8 and 3/4”.)

I’ve been intrigued by the ‘inner penis’ since I read one of Bib’s posts describing how some of his tremendous gains came from stretching the outer tunica plus pulling out of the inner penis from so much hanging.

I wonder how much growth from each and what percentage is gained from hanging or stretching. It would be neat if someone had x-rays or MRIs available to see before and after growth to measure how much they had gained and how the inner penis had been affected.

This is undoubtedly the best post I’ve read in over two years on Thunder’s. It would be ironic if after all the jelqing, stretching and hanging we do to stretch the ligs to expose some of the Inner Root happens naturally during coitus. So we haven’t really gained any additional penetration. We see a bigger penis because we are looking at a couple inches of root now on display in addition to the normal pendulous penis. It rings true with me because after long term hanging downward, 1.5” of hair has creeped down my penis due to lig stretch. The whole package of penis/balls has dropped down as 2” of the Inner Root was exposed.

I may have missed it but there seems to be no mention of the length of the participant’s penises being measured prior to the scan.

The boomerang shape is a surprise - hard to imagine how a very firm penis would reshape itself during intercourse - however I have some trouble believing that we all have somewhat retractible penises which only lengthen inside vaginas.

The boomerang bend looks like it would be at the base, so the inner penis is hard 3 or 4 inches deep inside.

There is a fascinating video I saw sometime ago, somewhere on the Net. Some scientists trying to understand the physiognomy of intercourse as in the MRI sailboat gave us.

I have no idea how they accomplished this, but they filmed a penis inside a vagina and ejaculation as well. If you ever doubted that your semen gets really spread around in there, this film will reform your thinking. It does.

I’ll look around for the site. If anybody else finds it, PM me first and I’ll run the link by the other Mods and Thunder to see if it meets our Forum Guidelines. There is nothing pornographic about the video, imo, (to me it is just amazing science) but we need to follow our own rules.

8.66 inch _inner root_? If so, does this suggest we all have such serious potential? I could be 16 inches if I could get most of that out into real, tangible space??

Did they make their semen radioactive in order to track it? Perhaps they just had plenty DNP :)

Will restate for your happiness. The article says the total penetration is 22cm (8.66”). The total penetration consists of the sum of the exposed root plus pendelous penis.
