More than likely it’s nothing more than a nasty yeast or bacterial infection. In which case you’ll have to teach your girlfriend the proper direction to wipe her ass in. I also know more than one good doctor who has sent a wife home with antibiotics and not offered much more of an explanation other than, “you have an infection, these things happen, you’ll be fine”. If this is the case, consider it a warning shot concerning your behavior. Next time you might not get so lucky.

Oh’ I’m not really condemning anyone. Another me is right there with you making comments, and I actually had to stop myself. Some of them were damn funny.

But you know what? I did the same stupid shit once many years ago. I got crabs from it. My S.O at the time was complaining of the same stuff. I later found out she was prone to yeast infections. A regular bread factory.
Guilt and a Doctor friend convinced me I should confess my transgressions. So I foolishly did.

By the time I confessed, the crabs were long gone. I never tested positive for anything else and neither did she.
She never even got the crabs. I hurt her something bad, unnecessarily in my opinion. And I never heard the end of it.

It’s a different world today. When I got the crabs IT WAS something that happened to other people. Not the people I knew. I was devastated at the time. The stakes are so much higher today.

All I’m saying is just be responsible. Then it’s Good Times!

I know what you mean. But it is kind of hard to treat the poor chap’s story with much compassion because of the way he presents the matter in the first place.

He just kinda casually rolls out this as-a-matter-of-fact AOL chatspeak line about having unprotected sex with a stranger, followed by his girlfriend contracting an STD. No remorse or mention of his feelings, just the facts! And the facts indicate that he has done a really foolish thing, and that his girlfriend is an innocent victim of his foolishness!

Furthermore, it is so obvious that the answer is “fess up and both of you go see a doctor” that I am thinking a lot of us are dumbfounded by the whole matter. (If it was his first post I would think he is trolling.)

On the off chance that this is for real, or for one of the non posting lurker members who may actually be in a similar circumstance, I thought I would take a bit of a compassionate approach.

As I said, I was young and stupid once too. So this scenario could be a possibility for someone reading it, now or in the future. Trolls fool no one in this place. You’re only being given enough rope to hang yourself. Besides they’re entertaining sometimes as well, until they get the nuke. Just look at how Nick666 couldn’t resist the temptation to self destruct.

Exactly, his entire post was 2 sentences. If he wants some compassion and for people to take the time to write some serious advice, he should have shown he was serious by telling us the whole story.

If you want someone to put their time and energy into helping you, you need to put some of your own time and energy into showing you really need help.
