So far as I know Paxil is an antidepressant. So I’m not quite sure what you are trying to acheive.

Could you exlplain a little more , as it is impossible to give any help the the sparse information you have given,

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

You don’t want to be on Paxil.

I believe that he may be looking for a way to alleviate premature ejaculation. Like most other SSRI’s, Paxil will help to delay orgasm in many men. It should be noted, however, that antidepressants can cause a number of undesirable side effects, and generally need to be taken regularly to be effective. They are by no means an ‘on demand’ solution. There is a fast/short acting SSRI called dapoxetine, which is taken an hour or two before sex, although it is not yet approved by the FDA. Dapoxetine is currently used in many other countries as an aid in preventing PE, and can easily be purchased online. Because of the quick onset and short duration, it provides the orgasm-delay benefits of traditional antidepressants without the unpleasant side effects or the need to take a pill every day.

Velocet: So you are saying you have two open accounts. :-k :

You probably need to let a mod know about this, for I fear it is against Forum Guidelines. I think they can close out the original account and restore your old user-name to the new one, but I could be mistaken.

However, you are correct about Paxil. Also due to my past experience with women on this drug, I feel it is the biggest sex drive killer in women of all the antidepressants. Not sure if it affects men the same, but if it does, using Paxil to treat premature ejaculation might be like burning down the barn to get rid of rats.

Ok So where is a good place to get some of this stuff online? I’ll give up my 20mgs of prozac a day if it works!

This past year I was on 10mg (adjusted down from 20mg) of Paxil daily to alleviate random panic attacks I was having. It takes one to two weeks or so of feeling tired and maybe dizzy to get used to this drug and then everything seems fine, but…. My doctor added that he prescribes this drug to treat PE as well. Um, the delayed ejaculation was so severe that I would have sex for almost an hour with no chance of climax and often had to just stop and hope for better luck next time. To correct this he put me on Wellbutrin in addition to the Paxil. This helped and the orgasms where very good. In the end I decided that I did not want or need to be on these drugs and so I stopped the Paxil cold turkey. NEVER do this. I felt like crap for about 2-3 weeks as my body adjusted. My advice is do not self-prescribe any of these anti-depressants. Go to a doctor and talk about PE. If Paxil is offered then take a lower dose (no more than 10mg) and stay on it consistently for as long as the doctor recommends, often 6 months to years. Paxil has a generic so it is not expensive. I would be scared to order this online from some foreign company without seeing my doctor. I have no experience with Dapoxetine.

I agree. Those drugs should not be taken if not needed. I was on Paxil and Zoloft and although I could last longer in bed my life was disaster. Sleepy, lack of energy, motivation and things like this. And on top of this level of erection goes down with paxil(and other drugs decreasing libido).
