PPP Removal At Home

So, I did a thing last night.

I want to preface this by saying that I did this at my own risk and anyone else also attempting it after reading this, should also do it at their own risk, and on their own conscience. I take no responsibility to anything that happens to you, should you attempt this.

Anyway,

I’ve had PPP on my coronal ridge since my early teenage years, and I have been self-conscious about it since becoming aware that not everyone had these tiny little guys on their glans.

I have also always preferred the smooth look of a glans without them, and wish mine was like that.

I also always thought that removing them would be only something a urologist or dermatologist could do professionally, and for a hefty price.
Of course, there are countless websites advertising creams and tinctures that are supposed to dissolve them, but all of my research indicates they were fake.
Some people tried using toothpaste, and that sounds like it’s all bad…

Then last week, I stumbled upon a comment on another board, in an unrelated discussion about how someone removed his PPP at home by himself by using something called a “plasma pen”.

Huh…

After a quick googling, I found that it is a device that creates a microscopic plasma discharge that burns a tiny, tiny spot on your skin.
It is used for removing skin tags, moles, freckles, or supposedly even tattoos, but that seems dubious at best.
And it’s available for less than $20…

I then had to have a discussion with my wife. At first, she was kind of shocked and a little upset. Why would I want to alter something that she loves and enjoys so much? Something she loves just the way it is.
I explained to her that I wasn’t doing it for anyone, or to impress anyone. That it was something I have always wanted to change, but didn’t think I was in a position to.
After she understood that, she was supportive, but naturally very worried that I would “hurt him”. I promised her that I wanted that even less than her :) . And that I wasn’t looking forward to the few days recovery period where I didn’t know if I could have sex or even masturbate.

After I got her support, it was on. I ordered the device and it was at my door 2 days later.
Then, last night after we had fun for the last time for the weekend, it was time.
I applied some lidocaine cream under my foreskin and pulled the foreskin over my gland to seal it in for ~20 minutes.

Then I cleaned it off completely, and dried my glans so that the skin is clean from any grease, and dry. This helps the device work.

I used the highest setting and the thick “spike” type tip. I had previously tested on a spot on the inside of my thigh to see how the thing works at different settings, as well as just one of the “bumps” on the underside of my glans. There was little pain the next day, so I got more confirmed.

All in all, it took me about 45 minutes with multiple passes to make sure I “flattened” every single pappule. The lidocaine cream worked to take away 90% of the pain, but I should have waited another 10 minutes (total of 30min), and it would have been totally pain free.

This morning as I’m typing this, there is a slight dull ache, but it is not bad at all, and what I would compare to how my penis feels after a vigorous PE session.
We’ll see how healing progresses, but after inwardly freaking out afterword last night that I had been too aggressive, examining things this morning makes me very hopeful that there won’t be any scarring.

I immediately cleaned it with antiseptic after the “procedure”, and then applied a liberal amount of neosporin, and I will keep it well saturated with that under my foreskin until it heals completely to minimize the chance of infection and scarring.

I could post photos potentially, but I don’t know if this is even the right section for this thread, let alone if it is allowed to post such photos here.

What do you think? I wanted this thread to be something people can find in the future if they’re dealing with PPP and curious about removing it, so I figured this section was the most likely one they’d look in.
But if you think it would be better to move it there so I can post photos, I’m ok with that, and I can post a before, one day after, and then continue to track my healing process.

If that’s ok, and not considered double posting, I think that’s a good compromise :)

A link with reference is preferred over double posting.

So, the first update…
The aching has increased, and since the weather changed drastically colder over the weekend, I just *had* to wear my tightest jeans today, after wearing cargo shorts to work all summer.
This resulted in constant pressure on my penis, and the afternoon has been pretty uncomfortable.
It’s not unbearable, but pretty annoying. I seriously doubt I’ll be getting off in the next couple of days at least.

I don’t know if the neosporin is adding to the discomfort since the rest of my glans seems kinda angry along with the area directly affected by the PPP removal, and my whole glans has been doused in the stuff all night and all day.

I’m interested doing this cause but I’m still little worried using it.

The procedere is like this right:

1. Clean and then dry affected area

2. Apply lidocaine cream and let it absorb for ~30 minutes (or even more?)

3. Wipe everything off and dry

4. Start using plasma pen using highest setting.
Questions:
Is the highest setting always the same on every device?
Which is the “spike” head one? The one looking like a pen and not the long needle right?
How excactly do you apply the on the PPP? Just little contact and then they burn or how it works? How I know if the PPP is gone?

5. Apply healing creme when done (which one?)

Hopefully the OP can help or anyone else who tried it.

First and foremost, I’m not a doctor so please don’t take my word for anything authoritative other than me having done this once on myself, assuming all risks and liabilities.

You do have the procedure correct as far as how I *think* it should be done.

Unfortunately, I don’t know if the highest setting is the same on all plasma pens and you should not assume.
The pen tip is the thicker cone shaped tip, not the thin needle-like tips. Those weren’t powerful enough.
You should first experiment on another part of your body. I learned a lot in zapping the first few papules.
I tried to touch just the tip of each papule and burn it until it becomes almost flush with the surrounding tissue.
Honestly, I would recommend first zapping only a few papules and then letting them heal so you can evaluate the result before you commit to doing all of them. I went into it with that plan, but I honestly got impatient once I started and decided to just do it all in one go. Luckily, it worked out very well for me as far as the end result, but it would be prudent and responsible to do a test first and then, armed with more knowledge, to go in and finish the job.

After I finished, I used neosporin, but I ended up getting a yeast infection which was a freaking nightmare to cure! It took me almost a month and the regular antifungal creams were not powerful enough to defeat it. I had to resort to using monostat, which is for vaginal yeast infections because it’s a higher concentration than creams, but it’s also slightly acidic because it’s supposed to go inside a vagina, so it also after a few days, took off the top layer of skin.

If I was doing it over, I would try to find a cream that is both an anti-bacterial, as well as anti-fungal. That would be ideal, or alternating applications of neosporin and anti-fungal cream throughout the day.

I think those pens are all the same. At least when I look at Amazon and comparing it with the “official” PPP Kit. I saw a dude using this kit and he’s using it on level 4 out of 9. That’s why I was wondered about full power. Do you maybe know their instructions or do you just do it your way?

Good advice. How long does healing take if you just test it?

Does it have to be neosporin or any other antibiotic healing creme? I think the antibiotics will encourage yeast infections. The PPP Kit has Healaxis Aftercare Healing Cream in it which seems to be just a regular moisterizer with some skin healing ingredients.

And how do you apply it? Do you wrap your thing in foil? Is there a trick to use it all day without worrying too much? Especially for toilet. I’m also uncut.

You just touch the papules without any pressure? flush with the surrounding tissue = same level like re? Will there be a red dot or even a small hole? How did good zappings look like compared to others? Did you have to redo papules if it wasn’t successful? I’m worried about this the most cause I wanna know if I did correctly.

And you mentioned Youtube videos about the procedure. Can you tell the ones who made you more confident doing it?

Sorry for asking so much. You are no doctor but your results look very promising.

I didn’t know there was an official ppp kit now lol… unfortunately, I can’t speak about it.
Personally, I was worried about getting an infection, which is why I used the neosporin. That backfired and I got a yeast infection. I just applied the cream to my corona and then rolled the foreskin over it and the foreskin kept the cream in place. I pull my foreskin back when I urinate so it doesn’t interfere with the cream.
Since I utterly failed at this part, I don’t want to give out advice. Maybe no antibiotic or antifungal creams are necessary and some sterile healing lotion is better indeed, I dunno?
Healing (minus the yeast infection) took a couple of weeks until it was fully healed if I remember correctly.

When the pen comes in contact with your flesh, it evaporates it, so no pressure is necessary, just a very light contact. That’s why I recommend first experimenting a bit elsewhere until you get a feel for how the thing works. And again, I’ll say it: I learned a lot burning the first few papules. I think in my photos thread, there are photos of what it looked like the day after I performed it, so you can get a feel for how a burned papule should look like.

At the end of the day, you can always go back for a second pass if you don’t do enough, but you can NOT un-burn any spot if you go too hard core, so I would err on the side of caution. Again, maybe doing a few and letting them fully heal so you can evaluate the results before going to town.

I remember I got a few “pitted” areas in places where I went a little overboard and I was really worried about how they would heal. While it ended up working out well in the end, I would not recommend that feeling of “Did I ruin the esthetics of my dick because I was impatient??? “ For a couple of weeks.

Im sorry, but I don’t remember what videos I watched on YouTube, I just searched for PPP removal and watched some urologists and plastic surgeons performing them, as well as videos of people using the cheap Amazon plasma pens on their face and for skin tag removal.

You waited a couple of weeks until you did your next session? How did you notice that you’re ready for another one? I read that the skin is recovered after 10 days and scabs remain for 5 days.

I don’t know if its allowed to post this kind links here but is the procedure you can find on Youtube if you search for “XJM5Fff6vNw” accurate? Evaporating means that the a burned skin / scab replaced the papule? Thought that it creates a wound and the scab forms afterwards.

My papules are less severe compared to yours. Very small actually and maybe not even worth it but annoying enough cause they still look like a disease. You had any of the really small ones close together and zapped multiple at once or even normal skin?

I went into it meaning to just do a few, then wait for them to heal before proceeding to do all of them, but once I got going and felt like I was getting the hang of it, just a few turned into well let’s do the next series, then pretty soon it was: well I’ve gone this far, I might as well go all the way and heal only once!

But the prudent and responsible thing would be to do a test and once you see the final result, then continue.

Since you are evaporating them, there is some crisped up residue left which turns into a scab soon after. Since it is essentially a burn, the immediately surrounding tissue is pretty pissed off as well, so it gets red and a little inflamed.

I did test some regular skin a couple of days before I actually zapped all my PPP and you get a microscopic little hole, surrounded by red inflamed skin for about 2 weeks.
I did have to do a few zaps on a few of them, and those areas were angrier longer after, so it’s a balancing act. I keep reiterating that it was a very quick very high-stakes learning process on how much was enough, but not too much.
